Hello Deanna
Thank you for contacting me regarding this memorial. The information came from a survey done on this cemetery in July of 2010 by Jack Hall. Since this is most likely your G G G G Grandmother, I will transfer her memorial so you can correct any information needed and link her to family.

Thank you again for contacting me.

Thank you so very much for replying to my message. I completely understand how you feel and I agree with you 100%. I think I just needed to be heard. I will share my info that I have about Marge Squires and I'll keep her family members that I have already made and we can just link them together.
thank you for replying,

I have her children and her husband in my memorials. I have asked you several times to please transfer her to me but you will not and that is fine. I'm wondering if you would add something in her bio about her life. Something like she was the loving mother of 6 children, she made the best fried chicken and all the neighborhood kids loved her. She was a lover but books and she is missed and loved. I linked her kids and husband to her and they all have something personal on their memorial. Please reconsider transferring her to be but I know you will not but at least write something in her bio

Morris cemetary is where James Henry, James Elliott, and Mildred are buried.

Powell cemetery is where mabel and darrell are buried. I have no idea why Mabel wanted to be in that cemetery, and James Darrell was buried there because he wanted to be close to her.

So Morris and Powell cemetarys are in different locations. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the info on John also.

I found this person, appears to be the same John Powell, but the dates are different and Martha is not listed as his child. Do you have all his children? I didn't see them on the tree.

That looks to be pretty much the same as the other one, problem is I cant find documentation tracing Martha to John and then to Stranthrop. I see from yours that you have nothing past him as well. I was just wanting to make sure before I complete mine. Thanks.

Have you done any family tree stuff on her side of the family? I'm trying to track down info on Martha Morris father. I have a family tree done by some one on the Squires side but when I get to her father I havexJohn Powell, but it doesn't add up. Nothing seems to match after Martha.

I'm not sure but I think its on powell rd, just off 43.

I just figured out we are kin. Mabel was my grandmom and her sister was yours if I'm correct.

I'm wondering if you are kin to the McLawhorns, do you mind me asking? I to guard the memorials that I have made but you have very little info on them and I'm trying to understand why that is? I'm not being mean just curious. Could you please take just a moment to reply to this message please. I can share my info with you but I love them and you do not even seem to know them well enough to have them linked together and I find that sad, I feel that this site should be used for reuniting family, doing family research and such and without them being linked together I feel like it defeats the whole purpose. If everyone felt the way you do this site would not be as good as it is.
Please respond,
Donna Medford

No problem at all. I just do not understand why you would keep the memorial of someone that you seem to be no relation to or you would have added more info. Seems strange that her loved ones should have to report to about her life but it does takes all kinds to make the world go around. I'll just make my info on her daughters memorial page.
Peace to you,

I'm not sure but I don't think Mabel is buried in the morris cemetery. I thought she was in the powell cemetary but I'm not sure of that. I do know she is buried beside my brother, James Darrell McLawhorn.

Hello, Deanna
I've made corrections on my end and added photos.
C.Rose will have to correct the issue with Oliver's wife being Martha Ann Morris. What a mess!

Could you send me an email directly to me? I have a few Buck family members in my library but don't know if they will lead us any place.
Thanks

Thanks for the links and corrections. This is a distant part of my family.
I am working, slowly, at putting the Purifoy relations together for Craven and Carteret County. If you click on either county most of the Purifoy family you find there are my additions.
This is greatly appreciated.
Robert
