RE: Thank You
Glad I could help you with your Brady family. I visit this area of Iowa yearly so if I can ever be of help just ask me. Would you like me to transfer any of these people to you as they are not related to me?

RE: Gottfrieds
Hello again! If any of pictures contain Peter Sr., Margaretha, or Lizzie Gottfried- they'd be greatly appreciated! My email address is:
After looking through my notes, I am disappointed to say that I also have a dead end with Peter & Margaretha Gottfried. For some reason, I have Margaretha's maiden name as "Ragel", but now I've made a note of "Slegel" next to it.

Thank you for providing the photo of Peter Gottfried, Sr.! I am descended from him through his daughter, Lizzie Gottfried Partenheimer. Would you happen to have any more photos of him and/or his family?

Caroline Humiston - Adams Strret Cemetery
Adams Street Cemetery is a very old small cemetery. Any markers still standing have been photographed and are posted on Find A Grave.
Many markers over the years from neglect have been lost.
Recently restored, the cemetery is now taken care of and many markers found there have been refurbished.

Research has been done to to identify all of those buried here. This is what I could find on Caroline

From "List of Burials and Names, 1856-1871," City of Berea Records

"Berea's records of burials for 1860 say "Oct. 21 Caroline Humiston from Geanga A. [age] 19". We assume Geanga is Geauga.
There is a C. Humiston enumerated in Geauga County, wife of J. L. Humiston, a butcher, but she is age 49.
Still, the age listed in Berea's records could easily be a misreading of the original handwritten burial ledger.
She could also be a relative of William Humiston, enumerated in Berea in 1870. If so, we might expect to find her in Woodvale with his family. Date of death given here may be date of reburial, if exhumed from a Geauga cemetery."
