Find A Grave Memorial# 166849240
Thank you for your information and Virtual Grave. I have further information that may assist you in this information on the date of death.
I have located the family in Henderson, TN in 1850 census. also would you look at the http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=34763424&ref=acom
information and see if the information I have is correct that Susan E. was infact the daughter of Barney and Malinda E. . also take info account the location of grave in reference to Barney Presley.
It seems that Malinda had Susan in 1854 and died after that since Barney got married in Jan. 1856 to Mahulda Harper [williams]. I hope this information will assist you in updating the death date.

RE: Joe McDaniel Cessna (140849831)
Don't worry about changing it. I don't have direct proof, only that all of the babies in the cemetery are theirs and Mattie's maiden name is Martha Jane McDaniel. She also dies a month before the baby, which is often typical. I kind of suspected the MD rather than JD was a typo (but no proof)
The other Cessna's in the cemetery, Daniel and Georgeanne never have children, per 1900 census. Like I said, since it's all indirect evidence, don't worry about it. Thanks for the work you do! Findagrave is an amazing resource.

RE: Harold Dean Jordan
My aunt, Mary Magdalene Bennett Carver was married to Harold about 1967 till they divorced.

Can you tell me if Harold and Geneva had any children. I saw that two showed up in his death record but didn't know if they were his or step children. I loved Harold, I would spend a week in the summer in Milton with him and my aunt. He was such a sweetie, hated to see him and my aunt divorce.

I remember Harold's sister Marilyn, she hung around with us one summer on our visit. Only spent time with her that one summer but I still remember how pretty she was.

I sure hated to hear of Harold's passing. Thanks for the information.

Thank you for your time and the effort it took to work on the Dixon Cemetery. Believe me, it's going to be appreciated, down the road more than now. Who were your grandparents? Perhaps they're on my family tree from this county?

Well, I'll be darn...color me surprised. J.L. Hays, Sr.'s first wife died in 1912, and he married my Aunt Edna in September of 1913. We were always told that she only had the one son, Ernest, born in 1919. What a shock. Thanks for your persistence.

I got your request to change his birth and death year from 1906 to 1916; and I accepted the request. Then, as I looked back over your request, I began to wonder where you got your information. I believe his mother was Mary Alice Vance Hays, and she died in 1912. His father re-married to Edna Trapp, and Ernest Topel was the only child Edna gave birth to, although she did help raise the children from the first marriage. (I'm still looking for Florence Hays.) I changed the 1916 date back to 1906. So, tell me where you got your info, please? And, 1916 would have given him a different mother; did you find that to be the case too?

My connection is tangential. I'm trying to document all my Stribling data which connects me to Kate through her mother. That connects me to the Thomas family. You'll probably see me again!

I just today checked messages sent to me on Find A Grave...know I should have before..you are correct I am fairly new to Find A Grave...this was one of the first records I gave information. This was my husbands' grandfather so I had personal knowledge, but not the correct format at the time to add it. Grace has been granted to me, as I have just rechecked these postings and all is set up correctly. Thanks for your input...Nancy

Gary Lewis
RE: Lewis Genealogy

CBD,

Thanks for your response. To my knowledge to date, all my relatives migrated from Randolph County North Carolina to Pickens County Alabama around 1822 and purchased land under the Land Treaty act of 1820. My ggg-grandfather, James Lewis born 1779 in Randolph Co. NC moved to Pickens Co. Al. where he purchased land in 1822. Pickens Co. borders Miss. and my gg-grandfather married a Margaret Fife who was from Miss. but other than that, I don't think any of my relatives lived in Mississippi. Like the old saying goes "The woods are full of them" and this applies especially to the Lewis families!

Rosemere Cemetery
Hello,

I served on board the USS English, DD-696 and also the USS America CVA-66 from 1969 to 1972, including a tour in VietNam.

The reason I'm writing is to ask you if you have any information as to who is buried in the grave above Ann Kenney in Rosemere

Cemetery, Lot 6; Plot 2. Michael Kenney was an uncle to my grandfather Earnest Robert Harrison. Michael raised Earnest in Opelika

after his mother Mary "Mollie" Harrison died during childbirth or shortly after. Mollie was listed in the 1880 census as living with

her uncle, keeping house in Opelika. Ann Harrison Kenney was Mollie's father's sister. I think Mollie Harrison maybe buried in that

gravesite above Ann Kenney in Rosemere Cemetery. Any information you could provide would be helpful

Thanks

Gary Lewis

John Tom Farmer
Thanks for the information. So was James Malcom Farmer the son of John Tom and Matilda (Chambers) Farmer? I know they had 2 daughters and a son, but I do not know his name. Their daughter, Clara (Farmer) Campbell was my grandmother's mother.

Hi ... Howard Cheshire is my father, and if possible, I would like to manage his site and any and/or all of the other Cheshire sites in Rosemere as I have genealogical info on all of them that I'd like to add. I've tried to download photos of my father, from the 1940s, but for some reason they will not load. Anything you might do to assist me shall be appreciated. Thanks .... Please contact me.
