I see you are an Find A Grave member after all, and are plenty familiar with the edit process. I only read my edits once every few weeks, so some of your edits have already been added based on your email. I'll go ahead and process them anyway and expect them not to change anything.

Dear Jenny
Thanks for your comment.
I am glad you found your relative in the Hythe memorial. John appears on Hythe disaster memorial as well as Pembury WWI memorial.
These are memorials or cenotaphs to be specific in Find A Grave jargon and not burials as you have pointed out.
As I mostly do WWI and WWII memorials and so far Find A Grave has not made an easy way of marking these as cenotaphs, I have therefore not done this. They require one email per cenotaph, I probably have 3/4 of my 'graves' as cenotaphs. That would be 5000 emails needed. So hopefully people viewing the 'grave' can realise they are cenotaphs as I also have a photo of the cenotaph included in all of them.

As cenotaphs they are not duplicates.

In actual fact I hope it then helps researchers as it tells them where that person is remembered. In the case of the Hythe disaster, some of the men are remembered in 4 places. So you discover which church they went to, which parish they lived in and which town they lived in as well as being on the Hythe disaster memorial specifically.
I have to say that I tried to set some of them as cenotaphs but have not noticed if Find A Grave has done so. Too much hassle to do.
Maybe when the new upgrade is brought out which they are promising, they will have an easier way of doing so.
Best wishes
Susan
