Thanks so much for the information. I sent a copy to Donna Clark and her mother who are rodeo historians. Please keep us informed.

RE: Roxinia Gilkey
ok, who was your father and mother?

Added by JD Gilkey on Nov 23, 2013 12:19 PM

Mary Ann Odom Hammons
Roxy Gilkey Romine
Roxy is the sister of my great-grandfather John Lewis Gilkey. His daughter Mary Anna Gilkey, who was known as Mae, was my grandmother and I was named for her. She died when my father was a boy so I never knew her. My father's name is Bobby Dean Odom. I lost him to cancer in 2009.

I would love to communicate with any Gilkey relative that is interested. I was at Mt Hope Cemetery several years ago, but didn't know Roxy was buried there. How I wish I had known!

Best wishes on your search.

James I am getting ready to write my article on Toots and wondered if you ever located your pictures? I can buy a couple off of ebay but it is the ones that everyone has seen. They are about $14 each. Can you help me? Would love to have some of her husband Mr. Greene also. I have talked to a local man who lived by Toots and used to pick blackberries with her. He said in later years that she quite jolly and a little plump.

Hello again James,
Would you share some information on Thresa with me? I can find so little on the internet. We are thinking of doing a story on her for our genealogy magazine at the Talbot Library & Museum. We publish 3 issues yearly. Look us up on the web. Also I found James Trooper's obit today in my obituary collection. Want a copy?
Thanks for bringing all of this to my attention.
