A. Roscoe Fisher

I noticed you posted a photo of a headstone for A. Roscoe Fisher. I am looking for information on my grandfather's side of the family. His name was William Andrew Fisher, his father was Arnold Roscoe Fisher and his mother was Hannah. Supposedly, he had a brother named Roscoe and a sister Edythe.

Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Corrections...
Thanks for making that correction. I occasionally look at recently created memorials that have no last name. Often they are "oops" memorials due to computer or site issues. I think that's how I happened to find this one.

Terri Rickert
North Lismore Cemetery
Hello Patricia

Would you please tell me what happened to North Lismore Cemetery, are all the headstones gone? If some were removed how were the removed ones chosen? Who made this decision? Was it LCC?

What happened to the coffins & the bodies of the people that have "missing headstones" and that had been buried at North Lismore Cemetery?

Thanks for your time & help.

Terri Rickert

Zion Cemetery
Looks like you have been busy! :-]
The cemetery index is so riddled with mistakes and the Canby Herald index is very lacking on info on most people.
Your being able to access the gravestones is filling in a whole lot of missing info on people in Zion. Cool.
You do good work Patricia.

The photo's came through fine, thank you for sending them. It's probably best to leave the lichen for now.I have plans to visit the cemetery next summer. There are several family member markers in the old section that I need to get a closer look at.
Thanks for all your help.

Rosina Kraxberger's
Patricia,Thank you ! I'm following the conversations and see you mention the stone has twins inscribed on the bottom. Neither Nathan or myself noticed that.I'm trying to get the photo enlarged enough to read the dates for both the girls.I think I can see the 1902 on both but not Rosina's date of death. Is it 1903?
Thank you again or your help.

Rosina Kraxberger
Good God! I don't believe it. I am still working away on this crazy situation. Now that I finally got Elenora figured out I was looking at that branch of the Kraxberger tree and find out that Elenora did have a sister Rosina!
Upon looking a little closer, there are two Rosina Kraxberger's in Zion Cemetery AND a Rose Kraxberger! That is pretty wild.
The Rosina you added a picture to the page for is over in the new section. If you will take a look at the page for Rosina that you posted the picture to you will see that it shows the location on the page for the person who made that page and as being in the new section. Rosina buried with Elenora is not in the new section, they are in the old section.
Gad zooks. I should probably write down all the mistakes that are mixed up in the three pages of Rose's and send edits after I can hopefully unscramble the three people.

RE: Elenora Dawson
I got Elenora's death certificate and put it onto her page. I was sure surprised to find out she was a Kraxberger! I never imagined that. I thought that was a previous married name or something??
Anyway, as it turns out her and Rosina were not only NOT twin sisters, they weren't even sisters at all! Maybe they were "twins" because they looked a lot alike and were really good friends??
Told you so, told you so! Ha ha. Just kidding.
Rosina's maiden name was Finck. I sent edits for her page to be upgraded with details.

RE: Elenora Dawson
OK, I done did it. I requested Elenora's death certificate. I depends how busy they are as to how fast they get it sent to me. They did say this time they will get it out to me today so that should mean they aren't too busy today.
I am dying to find out if they REALLY are twins. It is going to be a big surprise to a bunch of people if they are.
Elenora is not listed in any census with the family. Rosina is not shown on any census as having a sister born the same year.
Not to say though that she did not get left off the census and it appears that might possibly have happened?? Or, maybe the family was having a hard time and somebody else in the family raised Elenora??
Stay tuned for the next exciting episode.

RE: Elenora Dawson
I just like to make sure if something is right or not.
I am going to buy her death certificate. I cannot find a single thing other than what you are saying to prove she was even her sister let alone twin sister. I have seen too many mistakes on gravestones too to take it for granted.

Elenora Dawson
What makes you think Elenora Dawson and Rosina Kraxberger were twins??
Soley on the basis that it looks like on the gravestone that they have the same birth year? Do you have anything else but that to prove your claim because I have been studying this for the past hour or so and they were not twins. Their mother and father are both in Zion. Their brother is in there too. They are in the census a few years apart in age. Never does anything show that they were twins. If the gravestone were cleaned off enough so you could actually see what it says on it I think you would find that Elenora was not born in 1902.
I'll work on this some more tomorrow. I am too tired tonight. I might even ask the State Archives for her death certificate for proof but it will cost me 5 dollars and on my poverty level income I am not real wild about spending money on something like that for a reason like this especially this time of year.

Johann Sebastian Klein photo
Patricia, Could I have your permission to use your photo of Johann Sebastian Klein's tombstone on a WikiTree profile? I am a descendant of his through my Grandmother Lottie Bowman Moore, whose mother was Sarah Jane Cline. The profile is on the Internet at: It contains sources and links to other Cline/Klein family members. I like using Wikitree because it is free and requires sources. I will give you credit for the picture. Are their photos of the original tombstone? Thank you, G Moore
