RE: Clark Morton, Sr. Kewanee IL
I haven't had much luck with the plot numbers in Wethersfield Cemetery. And now I can see why. There are duplicate plot numbers. There is a
146 in the old section and one in the newer. I was focusing on the older graves on my visit so I am sure this one is in the old area.

If you enter the cemetery on the north side using Central Avenue the older section will be on your right hand side. North Drive runs east/west and intersects Central although in the old part it is simply a grassy lane. But you can see how it divides the old section right down the middle. I am pretty sure this grave is in the south part of the old section and just a row or two west of Central Ave.

If you were to enter the cemetery from the west side that faces Windmont Park you would walk down the middle of the grassy lane until you hit Central Ave then back up a couple rows on your right hand side. Do you have a copy of the map? If not send me a direct email and I will give you the link to it online. Find A Grave doesn't allow the posting of links for some reason.

You are very welcome. Glad we could take this photo and hope the stone stays intact since they have fixed it.

RE: Fred N Henry photo request
Donna,

It's done, more-or-less, but it comes with a mystery. Eloise Mountel is possibly a relative? Her flat headstone is immediately in front of Cleo's as you can see. Additional mystery: Eloise is not listed in Grandview's online database!

I can leave all three photos or eliminate one of the first two if you wish. Also, I have a separate photo for Eloise only which I can send to you or add to Cleo's memorial.

RE: Fred N Henry photo request
That will be no problem at all Donna, especially since I can now walk right to Fred's stone. The Grandview map does show Cleo Woodhams buried in the same plot. I'll probably be back up there this afternoon. If not, I'll get it done in the next 48 hours.

Fred's photo may look a little bit artsy at the expense of clarity, but the shadows are due to desirable plants standing about 2' above the horizontal stone. As you've probably discovered, it's quite clear when you click on the photo to enlarge it. Only way to avoid the shadows would be at approximately high noon, and I can do that if you'd prefer.

RE: Bryan graves Fields Cemetery
My son & I accidentally stumbled upon Fields Cemetery in Nov 2010 when we were on the hunt for another cemetery in the area. I took photos of a lot of the headstones that we could find as this cemetery needs a LOT of TLC. I was afraid in a few years there wouldn't be any signs of a cemetery being there or the stones damaged. There is no signs indicating a cemetery is located there. I have pictures of
Anna Belle Bryan 1896-1921
Charley Bryan 1931-1931
Earl Bryan 1934-1934
Infant daughter of Willie & Annie Bryan (no dates)
Also there were several 'Jones' headstones & I noticed 'Jones' was a middle name for some of the Bryans.
If you think you would want these pictures, just request them on Find-A-Grave and I will happy to share them. Have a great day. Carolyn

RE: Corrie Cemetery question
Yes, it was so sad to see. I don't think an accident of nature did this. We suspected maybe vandals. The disrespect in these cemeteries is sad.

It was such a beautiful stone and I'm sure it was not cheap. We really felt for the family.
