|Carol Ballard||RE: Woodrow Driskill|
No this still doesn't sound like this small cemetery. It is Fairview Church of God Cemetery. Only a few graves. Unless his is a flat marker that the grass has completely over-grown. Thanks

I second Carol's comment. I did some research on him. His father ordered the stone and he lived in Gadsden. He had the stone delivered to Fairview Cemetery in Gadsden, Etowah Co. Al. He does not have a memorial there but his brother Clarence does. He was also kia. His father ordered him a stone also. (Bobby)

Hello Jan I photographed this complete cemetery about six months ago and he was the only one I didn't find. I also ask some church members and they don't think he is buried here. There is another church/cemetery in Al. with the same name and there are a lot of Driskill's buried there. He may have just been listed in the wrong cemetery. If he is in this cemetery, I would say his grave is unmarked. It is a small well kept cemetery.

|Kathy ||RE: Photo request Robert Lynch #106332447|
Hi, I don't think I sent you a message but last October, while I was working through Section C at St. Bona's cemetery, I stumbled upon a memorial veteran's marker for Robert Lynch. The marker is placed between his parent's foot stones. Robert is buried in Section O but the marker was placed with his parents in Section C. When we get a sunny day (soon I hope), I will get a photo of the three stones together and add it to his Find A Grave memorial. I should have taken one last fall but never gave it a thought...
Thank you, Kathy

I have no more information on this burial. Your best bet is to call the cemetery office and ask them what the cards have written on them. There isn't much on him in the local newspaper either. He was returned to the United States in 1949 and buried in St Bona's. I think the family was poor as there are no markers on his parents graves.
Thank you, Kathy

Yes, use the photo. As long as it is a non profit site, I have no issue. I always support veteran projects. Thank you for the opportunity to add more to his memorial and all you do for our veterans.

Thank you for the flowers and not that you added to Johnny Ott's memorial. There was already a photo that I snipped from 3ADMG, which you would have seen. I just wanted to let you know that i have added an obit that a Find-a-grave member emailed to me. It's pretty fuzzy but contains an additional photo that was not previously on the f.a.g. memorial. Mr. Ott was the first husband of my maternal Aunt Vera Smith, and they had no children.

|Susan Lundin Smith||Samuel Stamos photo request|
You are receiving this message because you have submitted a photo request for Samuel Stamos . I wanted to let you know that I will be traveling to that area from Dallas during the first week of June and I would be able to get the requested photos for you. I do need some help from you tho. While I am in the Chicago area, I intend to get as many names off the list for Evergreen Cemetery as possible. The list is growing every day and is now at 263 requests! Evergreen Cemetery is near and dear to my heart as I have several of my own family members there. If you would please call the cemetery office and obtain the burial plot locations and send them to me, I will for sure get them for you when I go there in June. If everyone could get me the locations I could really get a lot of requests done but I can't do it alone! The office number for Evergreen Cemetery is 708-422-9051. They will also be able to tell you whether or not there is a headstone. You can leave me a public message with the information, or you may email me at email@example.com Please be sure to reference the requested names. Thank you!

|Ed Mac||John Isacson burial|
Hello Jan….I received the section and plot # for John Isacson @ the Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree, Ma. However when I went there to take a photo there was a Headstone engraved Isacson but the name John was not enscribed…The 2 names on the headstone were for Arvid Victor 1896-1943 and Naima Elizabeth 1887-1962…I am assuming that the Cemetery office had the name John Isacson and he may be buried at this plot…But I didn't want to jump the gun and add any photos w/o giving you thins info first…All the best, Ed McDonough

I will check to see if the marker on the far left has him listed. I am still not finished inputting but he should have been included in the Holden survey. Will also check with a friend of the family.

I apologize I haven't gotten the photos to you sooner. In fact I went and took many great pictures with my cellphone, only to have my cellphone break! Then my brother-in-law was hospitalized, and I was busy helping out. I will go back asap, retake the pictures and post/send. You may be surprised, as there is a newer, beautiful, larger monument, along with other family members, all next to each other.
I'm very glad you wrote, and expect to get the new pictures taken within the week.

|Jankowski/Frysh/Adams Ancestry||George French Marker Photo|
I saw your request listed for a grave photo for George French at the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. I live near there and would be happy to take a photo, however, I notice there is already a page on here for George French, with photos. Were you aware of it? I notice the photo is blurry, if you would like a more clear picture, I will be happy to take one.
Please let me know.

Would be happy to have Harlan Ingalls DeGroodt honored at your site. Please give a credit line for the photo to his brother, Richard Lynn DeGroodt, as is noted on the caption.
Thanks for asking,

Hi! Reference your photo request at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, Illinois.
I am one of the few people who actually photographs at this cemetery. There are over 70,000 burials in the cemetery, so there is no way that any photo volunteer is going to be able to find the graves unless you provide the plot location. The cemetery lots are also mostly unmarked which makes finding graves here very challenging.
If you call the cemetery they should provide you the grave plot.
Elmwood Cemetery: (708) 453-0273
The cemetery will not provide the grave plot to photo volunteers.
If you then send me the names and burial plots I should be able to provide you photos within a week or two afterwards (depending upon my schedule and Chicago weather).
Just so you know, the Find A Grave Help files also state that it is the responsibility of the photo requestor to provide the burial plot location.
If you have any questions in regards to this information, please let me know.

|Anonamouse||Archie Dustin photo request|
He has two memorials. Find A Grave Memorial# 19871569 has a photo and was the first one. I sent and edit to the owner to correct name spelling. Please note that he died in 1944. However, per cemetery records and the application for his military headstone, he was not buried in this cemetery until Apr 20, 1949. I am trying to clear the photo requests for this cemetery and have indicated yours as complete and removed.

Jan, My name is Kate Christianson and I am on the cemetery board for Grace Lutheran Church of Winchester, Larsen, WI. I see that you added a Sgt. Deway C. Josephson to our cemeter roster as of 4/16/14. We have no record of any Josephson's ever being buried at Grace. Could you please inform me as to where you got your information so we can do more digging so we can verify the information and update our records. Thank you. Kate Christianson, contributor # 47087454

Jan, I visited the above cemetery in Neupre, Belgium today as I had hoped to answer your photo request. BUT: They are currently renovating parts of the facility. That is why the stone board with your requested name is not accessible at the moment. Some of the other stone boards can be photographed outside the building, but not all of them, I am afraid. The supervisor told me that they are hoping to reopen the complete facility in summer 2014. Greetings from Germany, Peter.
