Holy Trinity Church and Cemetery
Sherry, My husband lived a block away from Holy Trinity Church and said that the church was rebuilt in the 1950's when he was walking to school to St. Ann's School. He said the old church was torn down and they rebuilt it. I looked at all the graves that I photographed and I believe the oldest grave was 1932, which is not that old considering that there are older graves in surrounding cemeteries. My guess is that the cemetery was established in the late to mid twenties or early thirties. I say that because I had no problem reading the stones in that cemetery. Decay of the stones was not a problem. Many of the surrounding cemeteries have stones that I cannot read. It is possible that she is buried in a surrounging cemetery in one of the graves that is unreadable. Possibly St. Anns which is a Slovak/Hungarian cemetery. I hope that this has helped.

You might consider sending for a death certificate. It will have the burial information.

Sherry, I am sorry that you are having trouble finding any information regarding the Hungarian Catholic cemetery in Hermitage, but not surprised! The only other thing you could do is contact the diocese of Erie, Pa. to see if they have records or could tell you who does. In the 1980's members of the Mercer county historical society recoreded all tombstones in the county and published them in Volumes. I have a friend who has these volumes and she checked for Lydia Molnar and found no record. I have no idea when your ancester passed away, but I thought it was worth a shot for her to check. The Hungarian cemetery that I recorded was very small and I felt confindent that I got all the graves but there is a possibility that I missed one. Sorry that I could not be of more help.

Holy Trinity Cemetery
This is the contact information for Holy Trinity Church. Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Contact Information Address: 1126 Fruit Ave., Farrell, PA 16121 Phone Number: 7243463662. I walked and photographed this cemetery and the Molnar's buried there were listed. You might try the phone number. Good luck! It has been my experience with catholic churches not to give out information.

RE: Horvath
I found others in the same section with the name spelled slightly different. One is a stone with just the last name Hovatic. There are no first names or dates. At first I thought this might be your family. Did your family spell their last name any other way? I also found Joseph Horvai? Any relation?

Sherry,

I noticed you have photo requests for 'Horvath'. I have two persons with that surname posted in Henry Warstler Cemetery in Plain Township Stark County Ohio. Both were born in Hungary. Take a look - might be a family contection.

Sherry

Interments are recorded by name [last, first] and by place of interment [section, lot and space]. There is a slight chance of Valerie Marie being found in an old volume of single burials. They are looking but it is going to take a while. They are recorded in large books. If I hear anything of course I will contact you immediately.

Ciungar at Westlawn
Sherry, I submitted another request for the last child with no luck. She does not have a grave memorial and the office does not have a record of her interment. They have checked under Ciungar, Cuingar, Ciunger, Cuinger, Cinger, Cingar, Singer and Singar. I have also walked and looked at every grave memorial in every single burial section of the cemetery. Don't give up hope thought, it could turn up. They have a standing order to contact me if they happen to find anything.

RE: Ciungar
Hey Sherry, I do not know how to pronounce 'Ciungar'. Could you spell it out for me phonically? Maybe I can find her listed that way; maybe she is in the records by how here name sounds rather than the actual spelling. I am going to the office Saturday June 22. I will let you know when I hear anything.

Do you want me to remove the certificate from Rebecca's posting now that you have had a chance to copy it?

RE: Marie (Virginia?) Ciungar
Sherry,
I don't have any record of Virginia or Marie either but that does not necessarliy mean that she did not have a grave memorial as all her sisters that died as babies do. It might take me a good while to find out now that I'm finally back to work. Also, it is not surprising that the cemetery did not find a record for her. Paper records have a tendancy to get lost, especially when they have to be moved from location to location and back again as has happened to the Canton Cemetery Association records. They had a devastating flood several years ago; had to replace their office building. Virginia/Marie is more than likley near her sisters. I will contact you when I upload the photo. Did you ever find the death certificate for the year old Mary? I could not find one.

Sherry,
You may use the photos in any way you choose. Also, I have transferred the Ciungar postings to you. There is one more person, besides the mother, with the name of Ciungar interred in the same cemetery with a grave stone. I will be returning to that cemetery today and will post and transfer that to you too.
