RE: Denny/ Winfree family
Thank you for making the requested change. It is my husband that is related to the Winfree family.
One of his great (times ?)aunt was married to Thomas Luther Winfree (Sarah Catherine Willoughby). Also, I do have a small link in that one of my great (times ?) uncles married Mary A Winfree (Joseph Thomas Hardcastle).

RE: William Marker
William Marker is listed in as the sole child of Ezra and Laura V Marker in the 1870 census of sharpsburg, Washington , Maryland. In the 1900 census the family has moved to Denver Co. William H Marker remains the oldest child listed of 10 living children of Ezra and Laura V Marker. That 1900 census records his birthdate as February 1870 in Maryland. In 1902 he marries in Golden, Colorado, but in the 1910 census he is back in Denver with his wife and daughters. in 1920 the 4 are living in Oakland Californis. He and his wife are listed on his daughters marriage cert. His headstone records his birth as F b 1970. I hope this is acceptable.

Mary Downey (Alice Hanley/Dow??)
Mary Downey/Hanley buried St. Mary's Cemetery on Memorial page has a Alice Hanley Dow (1859-1918). I do not think this is accurate. On Miller-Honold tree have been compiling information--there was an Alice born 1877. Michael were married in Michigan and had their first 3 children there. Any way to contact where info came from so I can find out if correct?? Thank you Kathae

RE: Thank YOU!!
Thank you for responding and for what you are doing here...its priceless. My fathers name is William Davis and his oldest son my brother is Edward Davis. Vivian is my dad's sister and I only just a few days ago when I found your site realized she had passed and in 1998. I was 8 when Ed died and 11 when Dad passed...Went through years of foster home hell and dont really know how I made it all these years. I am planning a visit to the grave site in the next few weeks, have never been to my dads grave. You are truly good people to do this, again thank you so much for the work you both have done here and just know this...

It makes a difference. Thats no small thing.

Jesse DeLaTorre Photo request
The cemetery has no record of Jesse DeLaTorre but we did find a Jesus DeLaTorre buried in March 1990, The burial site information left on Jessie's memorial does not match any records at Roosevelt Memorial Cemetery, where did that information come from?

RE: Jack Mecca
I'm glad you emailed. I just made an assumption that these were the same Jack Meccas. I looked around a bit and didn't find any other Meccas, but I don't recall which dormitory I was in. Let me know what you think - I can delete it until we have more substantial proof that they are indeed the same.

RE: Steve Delatorre
Oh, I see. I have some of those same situations with my own family. I am thinking that Albert, being George Sr's nephew, would be the son to one of George's sisters. I have a picture of him. Would you know who George Sr's sisters were? My father in law spoke of Laddie and his mother when we were in California in October. :)

RE: Steve Delatorre
Hi.. I think it George Delatorre Sr. His nephew Albert Guerrero was the co-founder, with George, of the cannery and Ruth Morales Guerrero was Albert's wife. She is the one that suggested they start making Menudo. I was told this info by my husbands father and I read it on the Juanita's Foods website (the history). Have you been able to view that site? I am guessing that Albert must be the son to one of Georges sisters ?
Ruth Morales Guerrero was the sister of my husbands grandmother. I have pictures of her working at cannery. I have been told that my husbands grandmother was the lady that posed for the picture on the Menudo Can, now Juanita's Foods.. She was really beautiful..

Albert and Ruth had two daughters, Rachel (Raquel) and Patsy. Do those names sound familiar?

I am hoping that we can somehow connect how Albert was related. All we know is he was George's nephew.. :)
Thanks for getting back with me..

RE: Mary Bohlken
My great aunt, Mary Bohlken, was the mother of three daughters and one son. Only one daughter is still living at the age of 96. She is in an assisted care facility and can no longer visit her mother's grave. Since I live over 1,000 miles avway, I truly appreciate your thoughts and kindness.
