RE: Cuccia graves

Good to hear from you again. Of course you are very welcome.

I tried to get some information on Ellen Bettencourt but ran into the same problems as Barbara Munson and Charlotte Graves.

As for Faustin Bettencourt, if he wass originally buried at the now defunct Girod Street Cemetery, his body was either moved or lies under the Superdome. I am afraid he is likely lost to the ages.

I did some additional research on my uncle who is buried in Liverpool. He is buried with three other children in what is likely an unmarked grave. If I ever get to England I will make a sojourn to the Liverpool area and see if I can get a marker placed over their grave. I do appreciate your offer however.

Let me know if you ever need any other help.

Hi Yvonne, I saw your request for Faustino. Finding someone without knowing the cemetery will be nearly impossible. Do you know if he was Catholic? That would narrow down the search as they generally didn't mix Catholics and "heretics" ;-) together so if yes you can narrow your search to only Catholic cemeteries run by the Arch Diocese or if no in other cemeteries. Second, you may try looking here:

if you haven't already. It doesn't have EVERY cemetery but might help. Also, if you can find him on a census the area where he lived might also give you a clue as to where he might be. Also other family members as we bury in above ground tombs and usually family are buried together so if you can find one of them you may find others (just in case you aren't local).

Hope this helps!

RE: Mann Relatives

Thank you. It was a shot in the dark, but I will keep the information handy. I've been looking for him for years and the nformation I had on him was conflicting.

However, every additional bit of information leads to more. Now I may be able to find my great-grandparents as I have now narrowed down my search.

I hope you are having a great day.

A request

I have finally found my uncle who passed in 1925. Can I ask how close you are to Liverpool, or more specifically Ford Catholic Cemetery in Merseyside.

I will do a little research to see if I can located their gravesites. However, i do not walk the St. Louis cemeteries because they are just too dangerous (except St. Louis #1).

I'll get back with you tomorrow.

Thank you for your offer and I may take you up on it. I do know I have ggrandparents buried in Liverpool, but I will have to do some additional research. I'll let you know if I find out anything specific.

Again, thanks for the offer.

You're very welcome. It is always good to find lost relatives, so I am glad I could help. I understand you are in England, and I have relatives (uncle and grand-uncles)interred somewhere in Liverpool. My grandmother was from Liverpool.

I saw we share the last name, and when I saw that I especially wanted to make sure I took that photo. BTW, I am 63.
