Hi Denise,

I was wondering if you had any info on our family tree before John B Allen. Trying to see back as far as I can. Any info would be appreciated.

Tammy Bell
Philip Olinger born Germany
You may already have this information but we have found information on Philip and his wife in the Maxwell Iowa Centennial Book it lists some of their children's names just wanted to pass on in case you did not have Jacob, Stophel christian, Phillip Jr., Barbara, and Catherine. Thats all the information it had.

I believe I can help you with John McGuire's place of birth, having done a great deal of Irish research. His birth place, listed here as "Liniskea Parish, Farmagh", is actually Lisnaskea, County Fermanagh. This is not my family. I'm just helping with some Lynn biographies at WikiTree and saw this memorial.

Elba Odessa Wilcox
I am a grand-daughter of Elba Odessa Wilcox (Find A Grave #33138566)and Jane (Jennie) Essa Reisch Wilcox. I can provide information on their adopted daughter, Zaida May, as well as all of his other children.

Also, I have every reason to believe that his mother, Jane (Jennie)Lawrence Wilcox, remarried Albert L. Claunch and is buried in North IOOF Cemetery in Garfield, County, Oklahoma. SEE Find A Grave #96529041. My mother told this to me and I have pictures that are noted as "Lafe Claunch's". She also told me that there possibly were 2 marriages between Wilcox and Claunch (Men with last names of Garrett and Ladd). Mom had pictures of an Emmett
and "Short" Garrett that may have been related.

Zaida May Wilcox was adopted Nov. 30, 1901 in Perry, Oklahoma. She married Dave M. Jamison and had 2 daughters and a son. (Erlene L, Leola M, and Eugene F Jamison. SEE: 1930 Census, Santa Barbara, California. I have pictures of Dave, Zaida, and the children that I would love to share with thier offspring if they can be located.

Can you tell me please if the notation on Elba's memorial page regarding "Dutch Thomas" is a second marriage for Zaida? I am still unable to find records of Zaida's death.

The following is a list of the children of Elba and Jennie Wilcox.
*Zaida Mae
*Infant Son - 6-11-1903 to 6-11-1903 Blackwell, Kay County OK
*Rex Leo - 09-10-1905, Porter, OK (born in houseboat on Arkansas River)Died in Houston, TX
*Ulva Madge - 10-24-1910,Orcutt, CA; Nickname "Penny", Died in Houston, TX
*Lola Fayrene - 05-23-1912, Orcutt, CA; died in Houston, TX; Married to Jess Knight - one child, Willis Knight. 2nd Husband - Glen O. Norris - one adopted son, Norman Lynn Norris. Lola died in Houston, TX
*Blanch - 11-5-1914 to 11-6-1914, Taft, CA
*Floyd Lester - 02/14/1916 Taft, CA; died in Houston, TX; Married to Doris ?.
*Velma Waneta - 11-21-1917 Cleveland, Pawnee County, OK. Married Louie Sikes 02-06-33 in Board Camp, AR. Died 02-20-2006 in Kingsland, TX, buried in Board Camp, Polk County, AR. 5 Children (one adopted).
*Max J- 02-10-1919, Tonkawa, OK; Married Irene Thraikill, Children-Bonnie and Dora, maybe others. Max died in Arkansas (Possibly Bonanza, AR) Second wife's name was Mary.
*Don Hubbard - 09-12-1920; Covington, OK; married Manthy Knight (short for Samantha ??), I believe Don died in Crossett, AR
*Glen Herold - 09-15-1925 Stephens, AR. Died in 1949 in Houston, TX.

One last thing, Who is the couple in the picture on Elba's memorial page? It is not Elba and Jennie. I can send you pictures of them if I can figure out how to do it on the computer by email or else by snail mail.

I apologize for the long message. I hope this is somehow helpful to you or someone searching their family's graves. I have some other pictures of Elba's family as well that I can share.

NOTE: It is not a mistake that Elba's mother and wife were both named Jane and that they both went by the nickname of Jennie - just a coincidence. Those things happen, my husband's youngest sister and I share the same first and middle names.

Thanks so much for the info. I'm going to see if I can narrow down the location from this and probe the ground for a possible sunken stone.

I was able to delete the picture and my offering of the flag. You own this site and you can delete it. It will not allow me to delete the memorial after it is transferred.

Debbie Gibbons
J C Bell, Oakwood Cemetery
Hi Denise,

The Oakwood cemetery book doesn't list the date of burial or space number for J.C. Bell. Others in the same lot are:
Ida P. Bell (1883 - 12/8/1972)
Oscar T. Bell (1877 - 1957)
Oscar Merle Bell(2/14/1902 - 11/2/1964)
Dora Mildred Bell (12/17/1909 - 1/7/1910)
John M. Bell (10/30/1907 - 11/5/1912)

I would call the cemetery office at 817-624-3531 for more information on the Bell's in Block 85, Lot 19.

Debbie

I'm sorry, thought I had already transferred you this memorial. I am looking forward to seeing what you have. She was my great, great grandfather's 3rd wife. There is a row of Dryden buried in the row in front of them, always thought this might be a son, but never proved it. My uncle said he was told they were kin to us. There is a tombstone for the John Dryden and I think his wife and at maybe 4 children are buried there, but no tombstones.

Thomas Dryden's memorial
Hi Denise:

I've decided to transfer Thomas's memorial to you so that you can make the corrections and additions that need to be made and also since you are related to him, ok.

Thank you. Roxanne M. Weathers

I am sorry that I cannot transfer this memorial to you. However, I would be thrilled to make any corrections or links that you request, as I also like to see complete information when it is available.

Also, in order to "gather" family whose memorials you are unable to manage, there is a Findagrave feature called "Virtual Cemeteries". If you create one, you can gather the links to all your ancestors in one place, so you don't "lose" them. This comes in handy when 2nd 3rd 4th or more generations back have innumerable posterity, it is impossible for all of decendants to manage a memorial, but they can easily link them in their own cemetery.

Thanks,
Kimberly
