|Barb Fowler||Fowler, Otes|
Hi, I noticed that you added a memorial to Otes's Find A Grave. Was wondering if you are related to him some how. Been looking for other family members for our genealogy.

I think there may be a mistake on his mother, which is understandable because it appears his father married two Mary Anns. His first wife, Mary Ann Williams #133109089 b KY 1833, d 1868 IL. She was the mother of Columbus. Andrew Jackson Williams married again after his wife died, in 1868 Mary Ann Marks, the widow of James Marks. This Mary Ann was born Mary Ann Lewis, in 1821 in Tennessee. Pretty confusing! But, I am certain that Mary Ann Williams, was the daughter of Elizabeth Reynolds Williams who died before 1855 in Kentucky. If I am right, this Mary Ann was likely born in Graves County where her grandparents settled around 1820. Her mother was born between 1807-1809, likely in either Muhlenberg or Hopkins County as her grandparents lived in Muhlenberg in 1800 and Hopkins in 1810. Incidentally, Andrew Jackson Williams was likely a cousin as the Williams and Reynolds families migrated out of Georgia to Kentucky together, settling in Hopkins and Muhlenberg County.

|Megan Brooks||RE: John & Sarah Cummins Sponsorship|
You are welcome. They were my great grandparents. I did not meet them -- Sarah passed away when I was 10 months old -- but I have every reason to think highly of them. I just wish I could have understood the importance of Reevesville to my grandparents when we were visiting there, instead of 40 years later.
