Burial Plot for William Syndnor Kelly
My grand father is buried in the Barnett cemetery in Elliston, but I have been unable to find a headstone on a recent visit on June 18, 2015. He died in Elliston, VA on December 5th 1922. His wife, my late grand mother was Rebecca Northcross Kelly and her sister was a Barnett. I would appreciate any help on location the burial site within the Barnett cemetery.

Deyerle, Andrew Cemetery
Had a map added to this cemetery. Noticed in you description and photo, that there are ten or so graves but you only listed one memorial. Did you take pictures of all of the graves and do you plan on adding the rest of them?

Can I assume that when you did the grave photos for this cemetery that you took all those that were legible. I noted that George Hancock (d. 1820) does not have a grave photo; would that mean that he either didn't have a marker or it was not legible?

To the best of my knowledge you would have to send the info to me. Use the edit button at the memorial and send what info you would like to share; birth, death dates, places, family memorials names and #'s. You can post a family picture on your own if you would like to share a photo. The page will hold up to four other photos.
You can send any notes on anybody in the cemetery. As you send me an edit I will run an obit search and family search for parents, spouses, etc.

RE: seeking location & directions
I haven't actually visited the cemetery. It was recorded by another member. From records it appears to be fairly small. The Google map shows it in a grove of trees.

I not sure which cemetery you are asking for, but for notes you left at the WRRM; I found Oak Chapel Cemetery. Go to Google Maps, type in 37.071187,-80.747406 in Google search bar and click Satellite view and it shoe were the cemetery is located

RE: David Dutton
Hi Corina,
I went back on ancestry to see where this line came from and on one of the trees, it goes back to the 1600s and the entire line is in Berkshire County, Mass. then comes from England. Not sure if that helped, but it may have determined it's the wrong David Dewey Dutton? Kristie

RE: David Dutton
Hi Corina,
I actually spent most of the day researching this family on It was actually fascinating, because I found several families that are at VECD that are related. Do you know the Chittenden connection? There's a family plot that my husband and I found in the old section, which of course is our favorite section, and there's a headstone that was very tall and it's fallen down and is very easy to read, the inscription is heartbreaking! I also found a connection of the Dutton's is a very well known name in Vacaville, "Cantelowe" They've named a street after them in town. I'm assuming you're on, I was able to locate 3 trees with this Dutton, Shanley, Vernon, Chittendon family, so I actually added a memorial to the young 8 yr old David Willoughby Dutton and one for Verna Dutton Vernon, and I sent edits to the originator of David and Martha's memorial to please link them. So search before you add any memorials, I may have already added. Thanks and I'm happy to help! Krietie

David Dutton
Hello, I photographed David Dutton's headstone today and he's in a family plot with several others, do you have any info or have you made memorials for; Verna Dutton Vernon (1888-1970), Martha Dutton (1839-1920), it looks like David Dutton (1860-1868) and Dorothy Vernon Shanley (1909-1997)? I took photos of all of these stones, so let me know if you're going to make memorials for them or if you know who they are. Thanks, Kristie

RE: Willoughby photo
My message to you, involving Sarah Munson, may not have been clear. If you look at the Willoughby monument (on David's memorial) you will see an Anna L. grouped with John Bliss Willoughby and Mary A. Race Willoughby. There also is a separate headstone with Anna _ on it just to the right of the monument. My point was that Anna L. (1860-1866) probably was a daughter of John and Mary, given her names grouping on the monument. If she was born late in 1860, she would not have shown up on any census record.

RE: Willoughby photo
You may have noticed that I entered a memorial for Anna Willoughby (1860-1866). Another volunteer previously entered a memorial for her as Anna Munson. It is clear to me however, by her position on the monument, that she was the daughter of John Bliss Willoughby and Mary A. (Race) Willoughby.

There is a Wheeling/Young Cemetery. That is the one I was speaking of. Not the one off Den Hill Road.

Thanks very much for uploading a much better photo! I upload what I have but just hate it when they don't turn out well, always hoping a better one will show up :) When you get a chance, would you please also put it on Anna Elizabeth Marsico's memorial? Her page is:

Thanks again! Susan :)

Done. I don't know who maintains it, it may still be on private property as I don't see it separately on the tax list.
