Maxmillen and Louise Gillette
Mary,

I read that you are trying to get a photograph of the headstone for Maxmillen and Louise Gillette to prove membership for the Daughters of the Republic of Texas application. I went to the cemetery today, and I regret to tell you that the headstone has toppled over face down, therefore I cannot get a photo of the stone. I will further tell you that I did find a photo of the headstone and could barely make out the Gillette name, but it was too dark to be of much use.

RE: Roy Travis Clopton #103835144
Hi Mary, nice job with Roy's photos. He died so young, what happened to him and what was his career?
Was he actually in Vietnam while in the military?
Did you know him personally, or know enough to write a bio for him?..or I could do it with more details, if you prefer.
BTW, I viewed Lewis' memorial...he's your brother?...just curious, as I lost my brother at a young age.
Anyway, let me know what you come up with and let's stay in touch.
Randy

RE: Roy Travis Clopton #103835144
Hello Mary!
Looks like we are inlaws. Roy was first husband to Janis Woolworth; then Gene Cayot Jr(my cousin) married her.
Thankyou for the prompt reply and nice summary. That's good enough for me...unless 'that other' Roy born on rhe same date comes around...lol.

BTW, would you have any pics of Roy or maybe of Janis or the Cayots?

Please go ahead and post the birth listing on Roy's memorial page...as it is somethng until someone with photos comes along.

Thanks for your efforts
Randy

Roy Travis Clopton #103835144
Hello!
I got your request. I'm unable to find evidence that Ollie Travis Clopton is his father; although it sure sounds as though it is correct. Are you a relative, friend or have documentation; as I'm unable to verify from my end.
Thankyou for your attention,
Best regards

Lewis
I am so very sorry for the loss of Lewis. He was a very dear friend. I have known him since 1993 when he first started working here at Stevens Transport. We have always kept in touch and remained good friends throughout the years. He is truly missed as my friend and here at Stevens Transport as one of our top drivers. Sincerely and with love, Melody Cano Bronson
