Lucinda Younker Walters
Hello! I am looking for any descendants of Lucinda Younker Walters (memorial # 79946120), and from your findagrave memorial of her daughter Mattie Liken, I'm wondering if you are one? I have a friend who works in the Wayne, Nebraska Library, and she recently had a patron who brought in an almost pristine wedding certificate from 1855 Ohio for Lucinda and David Walters. She found it in the walls of her house when they did some remodeling, and she would love to find a relative to give it to. Let me know if you are one, or know of any!

RE: Your Grandma Velma
Hello Kathryn,
I don't know where my Grandmother's buried.
I live in Texas. When she died I was living in Minnesota.
My Grandmother Mrs. Velma Bell Hutchison was in her Daughter's my Aunt Sandy Cooks care. She didn't even make an attempt to contact me when she died in 2006.
The only thing I know is that my Grandfather Merland Charles Hutchison ....Velma's Husband is also buried in the Wildomar, Ca Cemetary. He passed away in February 1993. Does that help for a location at all? I only hope so. I really appreciate you trying for me. I can't thank you enough.

RE: Edward Barney Family
My Barney connection begins with Elizabeth(1692-1753)who married Joseph Mason, Jr. I imagine since your maiden name was Barney you are a direct ancestor. Does yours go through Elizabeth? Just wondering our connection.

No I have never been. Don't know if headstones exist. looks like you will find out though.

If you would like I can transfer Edward to you.

RE: Giles Slocum
Hi Kathryn,
I will post the photos to the existing memorial so that you can read the information on Giles. Then you can decide how you want to handle the photos and the memorial. I think you will find the inscription very interesting. The memorial is a huge zinc monument with a synopsis on the family members. Please let me know if this information becomes helpful to you as I only concentrated on the one side that mentioned Giles. I believe that there was more family information on the other sides of this beautiful monument and I would be happy to take additional pictures for you if they would be useful to you.

Best Regards,
Edwin Sherwood

Giles Slocum
Hi Kathryn,
I looked today in Northville Cemetery on Main St. for Giles Slocum and could not find him. Then my wife and myself went up the hill to Prospect Hill Cemetery in Northville and found a huge Slocum Family Estate monument that had a reference to Giles having large tracts of land in Rhode Island and dying in Rhode Island in 1682. Could this be the Giles that you were looking for? If so, then you will need to change the cemetery listed in the memorial. If you want, I can add the photos to the memorial that you have now and if they are wrong, then we could delete them. Please let me know how you would like me to handle this?

Best Regards,
Edwin Sherwood

I was a pleasure to create Nell Hand's Memorial and transfer her to her family. You can now connect her to her parents. It is a good feeling to connect families together and so beneficial for anyone doing research on their loved ones. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Mahalo = Thank You (Hawaiian Style) for your kind words, we are glad to help. Have you ever read "Brave Ship, Brave Men" [Lt Cmdr Arnold S. Lott] about the destroyer minelayer Aaron Ward. I did, it is an outstanding book, the story told from the logs of the Aaron Ward and some of her crew.

Freelove Potter Brown
I don't have much on Freelove Potter, not even her birth (except the census),b RI nor a marriage record to James Brown. James Brown goes back to Robert Brown, Capt and then to Chad Brown and England. The Potters are a mystery to me.I have been to the farm James Brown owned in Hoosick, NY and he is buried on the farm. The family then moved to Otsego, NY and most are buried there. I don't know why Freelove Brown is the cemetery by herself, but her children are in cemeteries in the area.If you find anything on Freelove Potter I would love to hear from you. They also lived in White Creek, Washington Co. NY after James Brown died and there are Potters there. Very close to the VT State line.
