RE: Transfer of memorials
First off, on your find a grave home page you have a set of numbers behind your name, highlight and copy them. Second, go into each memorial that you would like transferred to you, click on the edit tab, then go to the line where it starts: suggestions and click on that. It will bring you to another page where there is a box to type in any suggestions that you might have. In this box is where you ask to have the person transferred to you, giving me the reason you would like the transfer. (how related). Be sure to put your find a grave number in there that I had you copy. (This is so I get the transfer to the right person.) If I am not related I have no problems transferring.

Samuel Tefft (1643/1644-1724)

I am the 7th great-grandson of Samuel Tefft. I saw your message on his Find A Grave memorial ( We inherited our Tefft family information from a great aunt so am not sure where it came from and, we have not done much research on our Tefft lineage.

Samuel Tefft's 2nd great-granddaughter, Lucretia Tefft (ca 1776-1820) married Clark Whitehorne (1773/1774-1860) on 01 March 1796 in South Kingston RI. As we understand it, Lucretia's lineage back to Samuel is; Daniel Tefft (1743-1818), Stephen Tefft (1716-1782), Samuel Tefft (1685-1860), Samuel Tefft (1643/1644-1724).

I would be very interested in any Tefft information and sources you would be willing to share. Hopefully we could then fill out our tree in this area.

I am also willing to provide you with any information that will help you.

re Joseph Freeman
Thanks so much for the information. I was able to find the death record and immigration record online.

I do not have access to, so could I ask you to send me the images for the 1851 census, and baptismal records. Also, where did you find Sarah's maiden name?

I'll continue making more edits of their information once you can send me these things.

Thanks again!
