The bio is from:

Memorial and Biographical Record and Illustrated Compendium of Biography Containing a Compendium of Local Biography, Including Biographical Sketches of Hundreds of Prominent Old Settlers and Representative Citizens of Butler, Polk, Seward, York, and Fillmore Counties, Nebraska, etc.

Published in 1899 By Geo. A. Oble and Co., Chicago, IL.

Colette:

I believe that bio came from a biographical history book of the county in which he is buried in Nebraska. I'm sure you could find it if you looked for it online. Those were quite common back in the late 19th century.

RE: walter carrick
i can see ur frustration...as i been doing my own family tree about 8 years now and old time graves and cemeteries are difficult and time consuming to work with...

anyway...Happy Thanksgiving....i called around to several cemeteries and talked to some old timers....the "Cleveland Cremation" was an old time place to bury ur ashes in...it is since defunk and not there...the ashes were either claimed by family members, re-interred at another cemetery or just gone missing...the same as the funeral parlor of Walter C. Ram(if correct spelling)..it is not there...

now i was referred to Ohio Western Reserve Historical Society at 216-721-5722, ext 1509...that is the research library and ask for the director...the library will re-open Fri....

i hope this helps you a little...

i spoke with the cemetery office...there is only 1 person in the Cleveland Maintained Cemeteries which says there is only 1 name and that is John Carrick who died on Aug 18, 1938, and he is buried in West Park Cemetery...could that be him??...the Cleveland Memorial Gardens Cemetery was not established at that time....please check and advise or update...

Emmanual United Methodist Cemetery AND Johnson Cemetery are one and the same. Johnson was the old name.

The cemetery is located in GARRETT Co, Maryland. It is several miles west of the Allegany/Garrett County line (On Route 40).

Whoever first set up the Johnson Cemetery in F.A.G. wrongly listed it in Allegany County.

RE: Edward Brooks
Can I add an obituary to my interment listing?

Please do NOT add newspaper article or obituary scans. The photo section is reserved for headstone/grave photos and possibly a portrait photo of the person, if that photo is owned by you.

Thank you!

Jeramiah Wade
The information you submitted regarding his G.A.R. index card is listed on the memorial in the "Inscription" section. The marker has all of this information except the rank.

There are two sets of children under her name. In one set there is andrew hull Irwin listed and in the other one he is not listed.

Some of the names are listed in both lists. Could you comment? Andrew Hull Irwin was my grandfather.

THANKS!!

RE: William and Clara Wade
I would be glad to help in any way I can; I've done quite a bit of genealogy myself. If it's not too much to ask, could you also transfer my great-uncle's (William J Wade's) memorial to me?

Well, it's very nice to meet you. I see you've documented quite a bit of the Wade family on this website.

RE: Philinda Tuttle
Collette,
I have a close up picture of both of them and they are both yours do you want to make a memorial or would you like me to email them to you? Let me know. That is so exciting to hear that you know who they are, because I was not sure who they were but the stones all have a similar look so, I was guessing that there was some connection. I will be waiting for your response.

Colette,
You are welcome. I agree I am always disappointed when there is not a stone. I get a picture of where someone is buried the family plot etc. I take a picture of the plot and will post that. She is buried with Fredrick D. Tuttle 1845-1922 and on the other side of the surname stone is Lulu Green 1878-1908 and Karl Carrick 1885-1905.
