RE: Sunnyside Cemetery
As for Sunnyside Cemetery, I requested the graves of the Mills family I believe, they are not related to me rather names I came across in a bundle of old letters I purchased some years ago.

RE: Sunnyside Cemetery
Hi Peg Voorhees Garrison,
I see you live in lower Pennsylvania, the majority of my Voorhees line is from Upstate New York, my father grew up in Chemung & Steuben Counties, as did three generations before him. Before they came to Chemung and Steuben Counties they were in Montgomery and Schuyler Counties, NY, for a short time and prior to that in New Jersey. My 12th great grandfather was the first Voorhees in America, Stephen Coerte Van Voorhees came to this country in 1660 and settled on what is now Long Island.
Let me know if any places or names ring a bell,
Matt Voorhees

RE: Black
Thank you so much for the transfer Peg. I'm excited to learn of another cousin. So your daughter-in-law is also a descendant of Lt. James and Hannah (Loomis) Wells, a most interesting family to study. When I get my "chores" finished today, I'll try to get Alice's memorial updated to include her parents etc.

Thank you Peg. There is no rush. We still have snow on the ground here in the Midwest too. It's been a very long winter. Thanks,

Hi Peggy Once again thank you for your photograph of Mr Sturdevant. Please encourage your daughter-in-law to visit his memorial, as I have completed his story.

Ms Peggy

A ways back, you took a photo of the gravestone of Samuel Sturdevant at Black Walnut (AKA Sturdevant) Cemetery.

It is a very nice photo, much better than others we had of record.

Your time, skills, and effort are all greatly appreciated.

Rapalje/Trico ancestors
I have not been to the Old Dutch Cemetery in NY, but I live in Florida....would love to see it and the Green-Wood cemetery in Brooklyn. Some of their descendants are there too. Look up Green-Wood if you love cemeteries (like me!!).

Joris Rapalje and Catalina Trico
I see on FindAGrave that you are a descendant of Joris and Catalina Rapalje. You may enjoy the book "Island in the Center of the World " by Russell Shorto. Story of the founding on Manhattan by the Dutch and the Rapaljes are part of the book. We are over One million descendants!

Scott Teeters
RE: Hello Scott
Hello Peg,

No problem there. When I was working on my computer earlier today, I had claimed all the Freeman's that were requested thinking I had them and then realized that I had missed two. (Abraham being one of them) Then I "unclaimed" them as soon as I realized my mistake.

I didn't see Abraham when I was over there today, but you must have found him as I saw the picture on his page. As you know from walking in Fairview, there are a lot of stones in that back section that are virtually unreadable and some that have almost disappeared.

Nice to know I have a kindred spirit on the road here!

Best regards,
