RE: Robert Joseph Sindberg
sorry for the long wait in reply. I do not have access to the records for Manitowish Waters. My mother happened to live near the cemetery, and I had known a few people there, so I decided to put all onto Find a Grave. Best of luck in your searches!

Greetings Jim,

You have a memorial for my 2x great grandfather, James Vivian Hocking and was wondering if you could transfer ownership to me? Are you related?

Thanks,

Which duplicate is the original/oldest? That one should remain. Send a note to the person who created the later one requesting they remove it. Give them a link to the original/older one.

The link comes from the child(a parent cannot do that!). See # 120500973 and ask the creator or the other person.

RE: Sindberg Transfer Request (Corrected)
I am willing to do the transfers but on making your edits just to let you know that I was very reluctant to make any changes because any info added to these links were done by other people and most of them were in conflict with each. Since I am not family I have no idea who was correct.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the info on James Christensen Sindberg, it is very interesting. His second wife Margaret Mary "Marie" Tyrrell is a 1st Cousin 2x removed of my husband.

Happy to transfer them to you. We're not related. A few years back we were asked to take on the memorials at LaBelle for a fellow volunteer who has now passed. It was an honor, and a bigger honor to pass the memorials along to family.

RE: RE Mitchell and Mitchell
Now I understand, but I guess I didn't tell you that I, too, am a direct descendant of William Jones Mitchell and his cousin/ wife, Mary Mitchell Mitchell. I am descended from their first American-born child, Thomas Ward Mitchell, who was also the only one of their sons who fought in the Civil War, on the Union side. He lost his hearing almost completely at the Battle of Shiloh and receiving a disability discharge. He left WI for a short time in 1871, with his 1st wife, Fanny Youlton, for the Calif goldfields, as his father, William, had done in 1852. Then they returned home to Mineral Point.

So, I am sorry, but I would like to keep possession of William and Mary, but if you wish to post information or portraits I will be happy to post them under your name.

Transferred, however the member number you gave was not correct (4789923), the correct number for you is is 47899232. To assure accuracy of the requests, transfers etc., Please "USE the "EDIT" tab in the upper right corner of the Memorial for ALL corrections, additions and transfers. Use the "Suggest any other correction or addition" for any messages or transfer requests about a memorial, the others are for items as indicated. All the numbers will be correct in the e-mail and no need to go looking for them. Sooo much easier and faster that way!

RE: Danish Kin
Thanks for the offer. I don't know the parish he came from, but do know Andrew's Surname changed spelling slightly from Christenson to Christensen, and that he was born in Yuland (may have misspelled that)
if you are able to turn anything up, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dawn

RE: Mette Gormley 15439264
Jim,
I will honor your request.

Keep in mind that tone in e-mail is a very odd thing. Just to be clear, your tone comes across as very negative and not considerate of other's effort. Perhaps that's why people are not returning your requests. Further, what you see about my lineage may not be what is factual. Mette is actually my 3rd Great Aunt a bit more than a shoestring relationship as you say.

You should see the transfer shortly.

RE: Gormley transfer requests
I've made the transfers that I can for the Gormley family in Port Angeles. Edith Marie (1338735530) Gormley's memorial was made by RLWirtz so he must make that transfer.

I have no relation to the Gormley family and am happy to transfer them to someone who cares personally.

Thank you for the work you do.

Carol

William Jones Mitchell and Mary Mitchell
Yes,
I forgot to answer about William Jones Mitchell who married his cousin, Mary Mitchell of Gwinear.

I have their birth documents, I believe, from Cornwall. I hope I haven't confused the records of someone else for them, anyway!
