|Lisa A. Penree||Koenig/Gleasman|
I am descended from Elizabeth Koenig b.1803 Bavaria - married George Gleasman b.1795 Palatine Germany. Their daughter Barbara married Frederick Remp b.1837 France(?
Elizabeth and George married in Germany and immigrated to the US approx. 1840ish - I can not find any info on any of their ancestors - they lived in Ava/Boonville NY area.
Do you have any information that could help??

|Lenny Arnold||Smith Cemetery|
Hello Georgette. When I recently went to Otway I didn't realize that John Fredrick Koenig was in the Smith cemetery. Is this new information that you have learned? I was at that cemetery as my grandmother's grandparents are there. The stones there are in very poor condition. Some were totally illegible. If I get there again I will certainly see if I can find his stone.

|Lenny Arnold||Koenig Park|
Hello Georgette, In my previous message I had told you I was searching for a possible connection with the Otway Koenigs to Koenig Park in Reading (Cincinnati) Ohio. I have learned that the park was named for Adam Leo Koenig. It doesn't seem that he is a direct family member of our Koenigs, however there are some interesting coincidences. He came from Alsace, France, the same place as Magdalena Fleick. His father Johann Adam Koenig resided in Portsmouth, Ohio and died there in 1898. Adam's wife's maiden name was Trapp. We recently went to Tickridge (Otway). I am sending you a couple photos I took to your Facebook messages.

Hello Georgette, I want to thank you for the detailed info you have submitted on Find A Grave about the Koenig family. I am the granddaughter of Minnie (Smith) Arnold. I have been to the church at Otway but not recently. I first started my research to see if the Koenig Coffee Co. in Cincinnati may have started by a Koenig from Otway. So far I have not been able to determine that. There is also a Koenig Part in Reading, Ohio. Thank you again, Lenny

Georgette, I have added your information. If Rose is buried in Koenig Cemetery she's in an unmarked grave as I didn't find any monument with her name on it. Could Rose be a middle name or short for Rosemay? You are welcome. Glad I could help. Kay
