RE: Your Powell memorialized
No problem at all....I have been to most all cemeteries in Harrison County and have photographed them all. It's been a hobby for about 10 years now. I try to fill in the memorials from the photos I take. Trying not to duplicate of course. But I too will find one that I create that is already there. I don't mind deleting them either. I just want to make sure we get all those loved ones covered so that their families can see them.

RE: Your Powell memorialized
Sandra, I apologize that there are two memorials for your father. I did create his memorial on March 25, 2010. It looks like yours was created on January 28, 2013. I do try to make sure there are no memorials before I post one. I have far too many memorials on this site to go back and check the ones I've created to see if someone has duplicated them. I understand he is your father and I am very happy to delete my memorial instead of transferring ownership as is the usual. I will also try to locate the man who added pictures and let him know that I will be deleting the memorial in case he would like to add those photos to your memorial of your father. Thanks so much for bringing this to my attention. I love the picture you added of your dad in his military uniform.

Margaret "Maggie" Arnold Baker
The Kentucky Death Index 1911-2000 states she died 11 Apr 1917 and was 57 years old.

This puts Maggie's birth and death at 1860 - 1917.

Margaret "Maggie" Arnold Baker
Hey Sandra,

Would you by chance know who this person is?

"Mrs. Maggie Arnold, wife of Levi Baker, died at her home on Arnoldtown Road, Wednesday at 3 p. m. She was confined to her bed for five weeks with pneumonia."

- This listing was found in The Jeffersontown Jeffersonian in its 19 Apr 1957 edition "40 years ago today" column. This is from where the death date is derived, but cannot find any records to substantiate who this person might be.

I checked out the Risinger Cemetery and added Levi Baker to the listing. I did find his death certificate. His death cert says he was married, so I am thinking there must have been more than one Levi Baker.

I collect obituaries and I just ran across this. When I saw the memorials on Findagrave, I thought maybe you would want the information because you might recognize this lady.

Thanks,
Donnie

RE: Olive Irby Bulleley,
I remember you, Sandra, and hope you're doing well. Olive is a direct ancestor of mine as well so I'd like to retain her memorial. I mention my Bulkeley descent on the memorial of my 3rd-great-grandmother, Martha Jane Trotter Sidener (1836-1917), in case you'd like to look up her details.

Ella Cameron
Hi Sandy:
I was looking at the memorial of Ella (Gabriella) Cameron Thomas and noticed that Loenard Clifford Thomas, her son, was not listed. He was the twin to Aline and needs to be added to this page.
Born 16 Aug 1885 in Louisville, Kentucky and died 25 November 1918, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.
Leonard was my grandfather.

Thanks for adding this to her page.
(I don't know if you remember me or not, we have emailed previously).
I hope your health is doing well.
Thanks for your help in this.

Emil J. Rautenbusch in Calvary Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY
I don't know if you remember taking the photograph of Emil J. Rautenbusch's gravesite or not. You went above and beyond acquiring a map showing where he and his wife Grace were buried and that even though the cemetery map shows a tombstone, there wasn't one.

I think I have kinda solved the mystery only to find a bigger one.LOL

I found an application for a flat bronze military marker that was ordered and sent and installed at the gravesite HOWEVER, looking at the actual document on ancestry.com the marker was ordered DESTROYED on April 16, 1962. WHY? Did the government actually ORDER it destroyed or was it destroyed by some act in the cemetery? Will we ever know?

Just thought that you might like to know as you even got the cemetery workers out there with a shovel, it is interesting that his file in the cemetery did not mention the destruction or vandalism.
Thanks again for all you do.

Thank you so much for the photo of this Civil War soldier. A proof of burial photo helps to get his grave registered at The East Tennessee History Center. Your efforts are a huge help to this project.
