Hi again. I just spoke with my uncle's wife (she's almost 93) and she said my Uncle Bill also didn't like to talk about his service in India during WWII. I'll be going to see her in April and will visit the local newspaper to see if I can find any articles where he would have written during the war to her or his mother who lived in the same town. I'll definitely let you know if I find anything and thanks again for getting in touch with me. Kathie

Hi Michael. Which Bomber Group did my Uncle Bill serve in with your dad? I will talk with my Aunt and see if I can get some information about his service from her. Thanks so much for getting in touch and I'll definitely check out your website. My Best, Kathie

Happy New Year to you Michael. I am at the library right now, so can't tell you exactly which of the books I have that his picture is from. I will let you know in a few days. I am in the process of getting a new internet service and it will be Sunday, so they tell me, before I am online at home. You may use the picture, if you credit me with having the picture, with no problem.

Hi Michael
I just found a website Patriot Guard Riders Forum - Powered by vBulletin that has a notice that George is having a memorial service on wednesday Dec 9th at 1:45.

Don't know where you live, but Susan would be there if you can attend.

RE: George Mokski
That is a photo of George, but many years ago. He was a good friend of my husband, Orville McGee, of O McGee's Mobile Home Sales, and he would come into the office and shoot the shit by the hours.

As a matter of fact George gave Orville his Flying Tigar flight jacket, which he charishes today.

He has a very spoiled daughter named Susan, and she wouldn't even let the Executor of the estate into the house when George died. I'm not sure I still have his number, but I will look.

I was very dissapointed that they didn't have something? for George, as we would have attended.

Thanks for contacting me Michael. I married into this wonderful family in 1967. Harold's sister is my Mother-In-Law. I lost my wife Cheryl to cancer Aug. 23 of this year. Her mom is still alive and has great memory so I may be able to help you there. Harold also has two son's that are still alive. I have several photos of Harold and I love to share with others as long as the family knows where they are going. Pressed for time right now, but I will email you soon.

Douglas Dauphin # 152939667
Hi Michael, I ran across a message from you on another contributor's profile page today, and never dreamed I'd be looking for a memorial of yours so that I could leave you a message an hour later...small world! I've been entering memorials in Mt. Olivet in Detroit, and trying to match up death certificates to those I enter. I was having difficulties with Douglas L. Dauphin, as the only death certificate I could find was in Florida...right date of death, but no other identifying information. I had found his WWII Army enlistment record, and wondered if somehow he could have died in the service in Florida. Did a google search for his name, found your website, and found him there with the listing of his fatality in an air crash. So you helped me fill something in, and now I can help you with more info for his entry on your website. I'm not finished with his memorial yet, but wanted to let you know where it was before I forgot!

Yes you may use the photo. I got the photo from a booklet that was published by his college at the end of the war, that memorialized students that served and died in combat during WW2
