This Plot# 7084. is like a burial count or something for Office personnel.
Anything you see in the SLC CEM of UK or uk, means UNKNOWN.
Where I am standing to take William's pic, I found that Name with several family members, Just NORTH next to William. Family Plot names match on both East and West side, so William is closer to me in the pic I posted.
There are blank spaces in the map but that may be an error on the Office. Era wise I have not seen a NEW burial in that area since I started so it may be worth a call to the Office.
>1 to have them look for her.
>2 have William's LOCATION with you and have them see if she is within what looks like the empty spaces around him.

It is horribly sad to say the SLC Cem kept very POOR Records, until about ten years ago.
Name, Birth and place if available. Most often earlier the death date is actually the burial date. I think Only if someone Offered the information.
SLC Cem PLOT's are labeled A-B- C- type deal. X's go to X1 through X7.
WEST's go to West 15 and PARK go up and up.

Our Ogden City Cem. in Weber Co. Similar plot system and almost as old as the SLC Cem. but when I first went there, I was pleasantly SHOCKED to see how much info they put in their records and found the names of parents that took me one more Generation back on my hubby's side. SWEET.

Play with the name a little bit. may help. Manning was in the records as Mauning. It took me 10 Years to find that guy.
GOOD LUCK
THANK YOU

Giles
Hi Kathy.
I searched for your Giles today in the SALT LAKE CITY Cemetery.
William Giles does not have a stone, I posted a pic of the area and where he is on the Cemetery Office Map.
There are some blank spots on the map surrounding him.
Ida D. Giles 1874-1875 is not with him, unless she is one of those blank spots.. I cannot find her Name in the records.
You may have to call the cemetery Office.

GOOD LUCK
THANK YOU
HAVE FUN

Kathy,

The plot location was from the post burial location and is the same. The plot is next to a Merrill stone, on the left in the picture I posted.

RE: George E Cleveland
Your welcome. I always try and get photos that people can read and then I try and write in the caption of the photo what I can read while standing looking at the stone. I see so many photos that are just a blur, it doesn't help much when you are hoping to get information off the stone that will help you with your family search, when you can't read anything. So many people take shots that have all kinds of background in the photo, this might be helpful if a person wanted to see the cemetery, but I think most are looking for ancestors and would rather have a close up of the headstone. Well at least that is what I want when I am looking at my family's grave stones. Glad I could help.

I never had the plot number, I just walked about the cemetery, it is not very large and since I knew what the shape of the stone was it was quite easy to find.

George E Cleveland
Hi, I do not know the family but did a little research. George married Anna Marie Olk (1/12/1879-1943) on Oct 6, 1900; then married Zula Catherine Brooks (7/1/1888-Dec 1964) on Aug 27, 1929 in Ohio; them married May Catherine Brooks (12-29-1875-5/22/1964) on Sept 4, 1906 in Farmington, Davis Utah. If you are family and would like management, let me know by the edit tab and I will transfer. RLE

RE: Margaret Thomas Giles
Good Morning Kathy Anne,

I will try to get the specific answer for you as soon as I can. I can tell you that he is a descendant of nearly all the Giles and McDonalds that settled in the Heber valley (Wasatch & Summit County), and many Giles' that settled in Utah County as well. I can tell you that his paternal grandmother was a Giles. So Lola Giles> Richard Draper Giles> George Thomas Giles> Thomas Huskinson Giles> William Giles...and so forth. Where exactly Margaret Thomas Giles and husband Thomas Davis Giles fit in there would take me some time to pull up. I'll try to get to it as soon as I'm able.

Hope you're enjoying this pretty Spring weather!
Annie :)
