RE: Ethel Lavada Minter #23385030 #65834616
The Minter's are actually in LuQueen(AKA Dark Valley). I'm not sure how I made the mistake, but I checked the meta data on the picture and I made another picture at the same minute for a person with a last name of Flow. All of the Flow's are buried in LuQueen. I also went on Roots Web and found a census that was taken of LuQueen in 1976 and they were listed on it as well. I moved her listing that had all the links on it to LuQueen, deleted the duplicate entry, and made sure their daughter Doris was linked to them. Sorry for the confusion.

You are very welcome. Still have over 4,000 Photos for that cemetery and two sections to go. Hoping to have it all done by summer. Glad it helped.

RE: Anna Winnie Trueax Burr
I really do not know if Grandma Anna was married before moving in with Grandpa Ben. I heard she was his common law wife, but, I am trying to check on that. They had 5 daughters about the age of us kids (my mom & dad's). Sorry I did not contact you sooner but computer went down: took a while to get one & also, spending too much time with our 23 grandchildren.

RE: Jim Campbell, Antioch
It might be. We have been working finding old cemetery lists and recently have found some of the old Antioch Cemetery Assoc minutes and there are burial listings in there. We r getting closer to getting all the unknown memorials figured out.
Thanks for the transfer.

Town of Ashford, Washington
Hi Brenda,

Are you related to the pioneers who started Ashford, Washington? Walter? Cora? Jim Beach, pilot who married an Ashford daughter?

Who are their descendants who have their stories?

My family has had a cabin near Mt. Rainier Rainier over 50 years and follow Ashford area history.

May I use the photo of the above in my family tree? She is my great aunt and it was wonderful to see a photo of her. I always give credit and ask for permission. Thanks so much.

I think the link to her parents was sent to me awhile back. I just checked her death certificate and all it says for parents is Joseph and Tonie Jasek. I will look further. Thanks

RE: Frank & Sadie Brewer
Hi Brenda,

I, too, was sad too see that the Brewers had no marker(s). You could purchase a stone(s) for them from one of the local memorial businesses and they would onstall it. Also, there are less costly markers available online. The cemetery field manager could set the stone/marker for you. An online purchase of a marker would probably take much less time to receive than one from one of the local memorial companies.

I can give you more about memorial installation, if you want. Or, you can call the Shasta Valley Cem. Dist. office at 530-842-4933. Tell the secretary that I referred you to her.

You can get an uncertified copy of death certificates from the Siskiyou County Recorder's Office. The easiest way to do that would probably be to go to the county's website.

Also, it is highly likely that the Brewers had obituaries or death notices in the paper. A friend, and fellow board member, is active in the county's genealogical society and she often hunts down obits at the library.

I am curious how the Brewers wound up in Yreka. I always like to know a little bit about the people whose Graves I photograph.

I am afraid I canít help there-as you may have gathered, what I added is a photo of a photo-it is quite common on memorial day for visiting relatives to place a photo, or they are held by the cemetery authority with instructions to set them out once a year.
I did look on the back of the photo and if it had had any useful information, I would have noted it down.

RE: Randy Phillips
Mike played MLB baseball for 11 years. My sister Avis Walton would know more information on Eunices' family. Think they had a brother that was handicapped but I'm not sure. Eunice use to bring me news paper clippings when Mike was playing.

Yes, Eunice Dell was also Mikes mother. After retiring from baseball he worked for the Kansa City Royals but retired a few years ago and moved back to the Arlington area.
