RE: The Nehemiahs
Nehemiah, Jr's daughter, Sarah Ramsdell, married Isaiah D Rider. Another Isaiah Rider (there were many) with similar dates married Sarah Hathaway and many families have scrambled those four different people every way possible. We were going to follow the Rider family back to a Benjamin Rider but finally discovered that there was no connection. So struck gold following the Ramsdell side.

Thanks Again

Thanks for the transfer of the Nehemiahs. They were both Revolutionary War Patriots. They are ancestors of a friend that were are helping complete her application to the Daughters of the American Revolution. If we can find proof of connections of all the generations. Senior's father, Joseph, was also a patriot, serving on the safety committee.

Thank you for transferring. Our friend, Wilma, is applying for DAR membership. She is a 4x great granddaughter of Nehemiah Jr, descended from his daughter Sarah. So Jr and Sr are both her Patriot ancestors. We will take good care of their memorials.

James Schultz Sr.
9th Generation Schultz
Hello Christine and everyone,

Thanks to my Grandfather, Benjamin F. Schultz III, I have Family information comprised over 2 full volumes of documented History.

I am from the Lieut. Peter Schultz line. He and his wife Anna Van der Hoff had 12 Children: Lucus (my branch), Christian, Margaret, Mary (Mariah), Abraham, Christina, Peter Jr, Joanna, Catherine, Issac, Jacob, and Eliza.

It is my goal to document this great work done by my Grandfather online. Just not sure the best forum, perhaps a blog. I will add to this thread - and would be happy to answer any questions for history documented in Schultz Family Tree.

LT Peter Schultz
Hi Christine, I believe I am a descendant of Lucas Schultz (1172-1825), mentioned as one of Peter Shultz children in the write up of Peter Schultz. However, in the list of Peter's children, only 5 of his 10 children are mentioned. I am finding it very difficult to prove the relationship of Lucas to Peter and wondering if you have any additional information on Lucas. I appreciate any light you may be able to shed on this...
Thank you,
Barbara

Heidi Gross
Meadow Knoll Cemetery
Hello,

I am in the process of working on some area requests for the Find a Grave website. When I visit a site, I typically try to take additional photographs, just in case the memorial has not been added or a an existing memorial is missing a photograph. In any event, I was cataloging images I took last year and I was preparing another visit to Meadow Knoll Cemetery in Washington County, NY.

I was able to obtain images for Edgar and Nina Smith, however Roy Smith was not in Meadow Knoll. I will be uploading those images shortly.

I did find a Roy A. Smith (1903-1983) with Grace E. Smith (1918-2004) buried together in Putnam Cemetery (same town, but different cemetery).

If this is the correct person, I would recommend removing the memorial from the Meadow Knoll Cemetery on Find a Grave and create one in Putnam Cemetery, Washington County, NY. That way other people won’t get confused or misled. I would be happy to send you the images directly, as well as upload Roy and Grace into the database, once you have created the new memorials.

If you could let me know if this is your person, that would be great!

Warm Regards,

Heidi Gross

RE: Madeline Schultz
Hi Christine.

Madeline Ruth Crump was the daughter of Raymond Madison Crump and Electra Evelyn Hatcher (my 3rd cousin once removed). According to the 1930 and 1940 censuses, she was born about 1925 and lived in Troy, NY.

In Raymond Crump's obituary (may 11, 1964), his daughter is referred to as "Mrs. Madeline Schultz, of Troy".

According to the U.S. Public Records Index, 1950-1993, Volume 1, there was a Madeline R. Schultz, born May 22, 1924, who live at 2247 15th St, Troy.

Finally, Madeline is buried in the same cemetery, St. Peter's, as her mother.

Hello, I have been searching for the grave of my gggggrandmother for quite a few years and I have found her. She had married Wilhelmus Eckert on 04/23/1801 in Rhinebeck, NY. She died 08/02/1827.
Se was the daughter of Fredrick Schultz and Margaret Grapsor. I am sure that the grave was improperly read as wife of wilhelmus Egbert instead of Wilhelmus Eckert. I found and visited his grave in the Wurtemburg Cemetery but could find no trace of his wife who died 25 years before him. I stumbled across this yesterday while at the Starr Library in Rhinebeck looking through one of their books on cemetery and grave sites. Can you confirm this? Thanks.

RE: Herman TenBroeck
Thanks for this. I had seen reports of both burials. I assumed each document was correct at its time. I believe he was originally buried in China but his father made arrangements for his being brought home. Thanks also for the Syracuse piece. I had already changed it in my ancestry file but had failed to change it at find a grave.

Sarah Lucinda Shultz Wright
Hi Christine,

I was wondering if you knew anything about Sarah Lucinda Shultz Find A Grave Memorial# 145151611. I would appreciate any help if she is in the Shultz family that you researched. I am not a member of ancestry. I know that her son is Howard Francis Wright and he had a daughter that was named Mary Lucinda Wright. Sarah Lucinda Shultz Wright also had a son named Millard Shultz Wright. Again, I thank you for any help that could possibly assist me in my search.

Sincerely,
Tess Beshara

You have included the fact that Isaac's son Martin was killed by a train in 1880. Did you know that his father Isaac was also killed by a train? I have a newspaper article if you don't already have a copy.
