duplicate graves recorded

I am a member of find a grave.

I was researching Cleo Leroy Owens and I think there are duplicates for the same grave at Butte County Cemetery.
L C Owens and Cleo Leroy Owens seem to be the same person.

RE: butte county cemetary
I was there yesterday and found the grave I was looking for. All the grave stones look like they were hand made so they are not very professional. Cheap is the word! I would also think they did not use good stone so that is the reason for them not lasting; fragil! Plus, when mowing, the blades can hit the stones but the rock is not good. When these folks went into this hospital when they became sick and did not have any means of paying for anything and then died, this plot of land is where they were buried at the cost of the county. If family members stepped forward, the bodies were taken elsewhere. If not, they were buried in the Butte County Cemetery. I have a copy of the grave map showing where everyone is buried and their names. I got it yesterday from the County Works Department. Reason we found the individual we were looking for so easily. Butte county cemetery
I have the map (6 pages) of where folks are buried and their names for the Butte County Cemetery or was once called the Infirmary Cemetery because of the County Hospital that was near by and when folks died and didn't have a means of paying, this piece of ground is where they were buried. It does need some tender loving care. Linda

Thanks for your note Rebecca. I show Nathaniel Wilder & Demaris Whitcomb Wilder as my 8th Great Grandparents thru their youngest son Elias Wilder (1726-1808), my 7th Great Grandfather. I beleive that made us long distance cousins.

photo request
I received your request for a photo of the memorial of Josiah Stebbins (Apr. 21, 1733 - Feb. 12, 1794). I will follow up on this as soon as I can. Today we are expecting sleet, freezing rain....fun stuff. I will get there in the near future, though!

Rebecca,
You have my permission to use the photo. I'm pleased to hear from you. There is a lot of information on the Webster familey at the Ripley County Historical Socity in Versailes,In. There is also a website. There is also a book with more information, titled "A History of the Robbins Family" Good luck.

Sincerly,
LT

RE: Lawrence Cochran
Thank you so much for letting me know. When you are there if there are any other's near him that might be related, I would appreciate pictures of them also. I think his wife Josephine Francis Keith Ellis Cochran should be there also. Again, thank you for keeping in touch, and thank you for your continued effort in taking care of the Butte County Cemetery.
Regards,
Sharon

I have linked Nellie to her husband Stephen and son James and I have added the information you provided. If you want to link the other son, John, whoever owns that memorial will have to do that.

How neat! Phebe is my BIG mystery---I am dying to discover her maiden name. How are you connected? Do you know her maiden name?

Thank you so much for your response on my request. It's so sad that the cemetery is in that condition. Thank you so much for your time and all you are doing to take care of it. I appreciate it very much.

You are very welcome. I'm glad I was working on the section they were in since the office at this cemetery is so uncooperative. Chris
