RE: John Cromwell, 1579-1639
Thanks, William,
I think I've decided that this John Cromwell couldn't be my Margaret Cromwell's father. The dates don't add up. I can only find her mention in her husband's will (Obediah Winter, alias Grabum). I don't have a source for birth or death date, and I don't know who her father is.
I figure any Cromwell surname in America must descend from the family of Henry Williams, alias Cromwell.
I just have to find the link. I hope I can. Otherwise, she's a brick wall.
Thanks for your help.

John Cromwell, 1579-1639
On your Find A Grave, you list Henry and Joan Warren Cromwell as his parents.
His parents are Philip and Mary Townsend Cromwell, whom you have listed as a sibling.
Just a heads up :)

I couldn't remove Jatha's spouse. I wasn't the person who linked the two. I did remove and repost her to fix the error.

RE: Margaret S Hill Johnson
Glad I could help! No, I'm not related, although my dad was also from Cape Breton. I'm just slowly adding all the memorials in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley, which is about a mile from my house. Looks like Margaret (#156657896) came here to live with her son William, who was Wellesley's superintendent of schools, after her husband died at sea. Thanks for your note...

RE: Myrtle M Ingram Hayworth
Thank you for the message. I looked but did not find her gravestone. There is a slight possibility that I missed it but some graves do not have stones or they become illegible. The small markers provided by the funeral homes can easily go missing. Still there is a good possibility that she is buried there. I will see if the church has a plot diagram to locate her exact burial spot.

My pleasure. Glad to see him linked to his family. You are the first to claim one of the folks in that cemetery since I added nearly 3 years ago.

I meant to also say that I will try to get better pictures in the fall or winter when the grass is not covering so much of the headstones. I did not have anything with me to try to trim the grass away from the stones. These were very hard to read anyway and the grass didn't help!

I will put them on my list for re-takes. Robersonville Town Cemetery is on my list to completely photograph at some point. It has been hit and miss to this point.

You are most welcome. I really enjoy doing this, but what totally makes it worthwhile is receiving nice notes such as you sent. Those days where it's 100 degrees and I'm melting, or it's starting to snow, or snow is melting (instead of me!) and the ground is a mushy mess (I've been photographing in all conditions!) sometimes make me think I'm totally crazy to be doing this. But then a nice person comes along and says thank you. TOTALLY MAKES MY DAY!

I appreciate you taking the time to drop me a note!

The information on Edward G. Harrison's grave is from a 1999 inventory of the cemetery compiled by Anthony Craig Messervy. His information has proved to be highly reliable. See

Hi William,

Christ Saint Paul Episcopal might be in that vague rural area ( not Hollywood ) of Meggett, Yonges Island, Adam's Run.
Very confusing name and address.
However, I was there today in spite of the confusing address, and he is not there.

I am sorry!

Hi William,

I think that I know what the problem is. The cemetery that is mentioned as having his grave lists it in Yonges Island, S.C. NOT MEGGETT!

Thanks for including the information that you mentioned in your email, now we know what the problem has been!

RE: Myron and Lynettia
Lynettia is in Sec A2, Lot 126 Space #1 and Myron is in Space #2 when I could not locate the headstone I went back to the Office and Mr. Dobbins showed me the lot card which had them together but did not indicate if they had purchased markers. I went back and searched to no avail. I will forward the pictures of the area to you.

RE: Robersonville Cemetery Photo Requests
Not a problem at all, I just wanted you to know why I didn't already have a photo uploaded to the memorial. Glad you mentioned the son. I'll add him to my list and ask the librarian about him too. If he's in the area, she'll know.

Robersonville Cemetery Photo Requests
Hi Bill,

Just to let you know, I found the cemetery but couldn't find the graves you wanted. However, I found out late in the PM, from the librarian who keeps track of the cemeteries and burials in the area, that they ARE there. SO, the next nice day when I don't have other commitments, I'll get back up there and try again.

Photo Request for Martin County
Thanks for the two requests for Robersonville Cemetery. I'll see what I can find. It may be that the county records office will know where the cemetery is. I'll give that a shot.

I may not get to this until next week, depending on how quickly I can get my other photos commitments competed but I won't forget.

Also, I transferred Barbara Ann Johnson to you while ago.

Thanks, Bill.

Additional Johnson Memorial
Hi Bill,

One more thing re Harold and Rosa Johnson. I photographed a grave stone for Barbara Ann Johnson, who is buried beside Rosa Johnson. (#123390386) Her birth date indicates she could be a daughter but she could also be no relation as she wasn't included in the Johnston headstone but was to the side. That being said, if you know who she is and if she is part of their family, I will be happy to transfer her to you, just let me know.

RE: Photo Request re Curtis Johnson
Bill, I live in Beaufort County, which is the county south of Martin County. In fact, I plan to be in Martin County later this week. Guilford County is not so close. Send any you have for Martin County and I'll do my best to get photos for you.

Transfer coming up...

Glad to be part of this important mission, photographing graves for families. I love it! Good to know about Katie and Etta as well. I'll be happy to transfer Etta to you if you like. I have no connection to them and apparently you do. Just let me know.

Photo Request re Curtis Johnson
Today I responded to your request for photos of the grave sites for Curtis Johnson and Katie Johnson. You may want to know that an Etta H Johnson was also buried in the same plot. Since Katie died in 1961 and Curtis didn't die until 1972, perhaps this was Curtis' second wife? Or maybe a daughter? Whatever the situation, I wanted you to know that I created a memorial for Etta since she was buried with Curtis and Katie.
