|Deborah (Hartman) Cetti||Gall Photos Requests|
I went to Dorseyville cemetery again today and walked the entire cemetery, but could not locate a stone for either Ervin or August Gall. There are a lot of old ones that are no longer legible.
I also went to Lakewood and was able to find Theodore but not Emma Gall. I asked at the office where I would find Emma and they have no record of Emma Gall being buried there. Are you sure she is at Lakewood? They said they didn't start until 1950 and she died in 1944?
I posted the photo of Theodore's grave and then saw that one had already been posted. Let me know if you want me to delete the photo I just posted.
I will continue to keep an eye out for August, Emma and Ervin since I frequent both of these cemeteries.

I added Ricketts Cemetery a month or so ago. I think that is the cemetery you are referring to. It went by several names over the years.

Hi Jennifer, thank you so much for the photo!

The lists would come from such places as the historical society, the PA genweb or even local newspapersand family histories. The names are as you mentioned earlier, except for Shaver. If I don't get an answer from Find A Grave by Monday regarding so many AKAs I'll add one of the cemeteries just as a starting point , and add the remaining names in the bio/notes. Eventually they would have to address that.

Thanks so much for the transfers, and all you do on Find A Grave. Lorraine

The county would not have records of who may be buried there. The best source of information is from headstone readings at the cemetery done by different people over a span of many years. With maybe a few exceptions the lists appear to contain the same names and dates, although I've not gone over them one by one. I did mail Find A Grave to find the proper way of recording (or listing) so many different names for one cemetery, waiting on a response.

|Ron||Re Shaver Cemetery|
I'll have to go to Find A Grave on this - the cemeteries you spoke of (Ricketts, Morgan, Herencame etc., and Shaffer are all the same cemetery. Based on readings over the years, it appears obvious that this cemetery was called by whatever the name of the land owner owner was at any particular time. Most of the information named the cemetery Ricketts and referred to other names over the yeas. Ricketts was evidently the original burial and perhaps that is why it has become the most common name. There are four or five Shaffers listed on the readings. I'll get back to you shortly on what else I find out regarding proper cemetery naming.

|Ron||RE: Shaver Cemetery|
I'll check that out for you but probably in a day or two. Don't confuse Shaver and Shaffer Cemetery - or Harencane, etc. I don't have info on the Shaffer Cemetery but will check some on that tomorrow at the historical society, time permitting. I have Harencane etc., also shown as Ricketts or Morgan, will check that also. Shaver is more distinct, located behind the American Legion post in Mount Union, currently under refurbishment - I need to see how it's coming down there. Will let you know.

Newton is my great-great-great-grandfather. Thank you so much for taking the photos. S Newton
