Grover Fowler
Kathy - I will be going back to Norborne Cemetery within the next week or so and I will take a picture of the "Fowler" marker for you. I will also be heading past Old Norborne Cemetery and will look to see if Grover is there. However, Old Norborne has been vandalized and many stones have been knocked over and/or broken. I will take a look though.

I searched the entire Norborne Cemetery in Martinsburg, WV and could not find this person. There is one large monument erected to Fowler, but there are no other inscriptions on it -- no, names, dates, etc. If you wish I can take a picture of that monument. Just let me know. Also, there is another cemetery called Old Norborne Cemetery, could this person possibly be buried there?

I went to the cemetery today to look for Martin's wife. Sorry to say she must be buried there without a marker. I searched for her on and found the obituary. It is sad when nobody provides a marker for the deceased.

One more note on this. My husband and I photographed this whole cemetery. If a person was not already entered on this site I entered the information. The only reason she may not be here is the photo may have not turned out. I will still go to the cemetery and check to be sure.

The weather has not been the best here. We just have over 18 inches of snow melt then rain. As soon as the ground dries a bit and the temperatures get a bit warmer I will look into this. I need to go out that way for another cemetery hunt also. I will be glad to check into this.

David and Daisy Emswiler in Trissels
The grave is marked. If you click on David Emswiler's memorial, you will see a picture of a double stone for both David and Daisy. I am not sure why Wilmer and Cliffie See's stone is on Daisy's page.

Who are you talking about? Do they have memorial numbers? Please provide because the names you gave aren't familiar to me.

RE: The Pines Cemetery
No it is not a "poor" cemetery. It was named the pines because it used to be surrounded by pine trees but now most of them have died or blown over by storms. It was privately owned cemetery. My hubby says he doesn't know who owns it now (I am not from around here) this is just a small agricultural area so there are alot of cemeteries on private farms.

The Pines Cemetery
There is not much to tell about this cemetery. It is just a small area that used to be in pine trees. Now it is mostly just open next to the railroad tracks. There are not plots or anything due to it's size. I took pictures of all the headstones when I went over there. I don't know who keeps the area up but somebody maintains it. Sorry I can't give you any more info on your family.

Griest Family
Wow! This is fantastic! What a nice treasure! I would enjoy seeing photos of the home and barn if possible. I can't thank you enough for taking the extra time and effort with the Griest family headstone.

I am so glad you made the stop, otherwise, I would not have received these photos.

Thanks again for your kindness.

Happy weekend!
