Photo request for John Smith in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery
I am sorry to advise you that there is no marker in Lot 1606 of Section 10 in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery for John Smith. However, I will use a photo that shows the empty space in Lot 1606 to fulfill your photo request. There will be a descriptive caption with the photo (need to click on the photo to see the caption). If you are not satisfied with the photo, please let me know and I will remove it.

I have not been able to find documentation where, but I was told that he is buried at Nat Cemetery, in Nacogdoches County, Tx. May not have a stone.

RE: Friendship Cemetery, Nacogdoches County, Texas
Thanks for the reply. We have some kinfolks, whether blood or in-law, that we do not keep up with. Then there are people who seem kin and aren't. Then there is the whole world of folks we don't know. There are supposedly six degrees of blood and non-blood relationship with almost all the people in the world. That means that everyone you know and the people they know and so on to six levels constitutes the population of the world. This is a statistical idea and cannot be proved, but it is likely. It is also probable that you are blood kin to a vast number of people if you go back to about ten generations. If you are from the South of the USA and your folks have been here since 1776, it is pretty certain that you and I are blood kin. The important part is knowing the tree that we both sprang from. Jimmy Carter is my tenth cousin. He may be your tenth cousin too. The writer Truman Capote is my second cousin once removed. I am less proud of that.

I have kin buried in many of the cemeteries in Nacogdoches County. Any time you want to know something about a Beard, Hudson, Blackburn, Cornellius, Looney, Clayton, Pye or any of many people from the Nacogdoches area you may want to consult me I may not know, but I may. I am sure something similar is the same with you.

Keep in touch.

Philip Hudson
Friendship Cemetery, Nacogdoches County, Texas
Hello Linda,

I am Philip Hudson (#48192248).

I notice you manage the memorial for Lena A Looney McKnight (Find A Grave Memorial# 64437266) in the Friendship Cemetery in Nacogdoches, County, Texas. I assume you are related to her. I liked your Bio and approve of your stand. Whenever I take or give a memorial, I expect a line of communication to keep open among the past and present managers.

I did not know Lena Looney McKnight but I have a step relationship to the Looneys at Looneyville. I have family members in the Friendship cemetery and other cemeteries in Nacogdoches, Cherokee and Rusk County area. Because you are related to Lena I am writing you. I manage only one memorial in Friendship Cemetery and plan to contribute to or manage some others, but I am not close enough kin to manage any of the Looney memorials there.

My Grandfather Hudson's first wife was Fanny Belle Looney Hudson (Find A Grave Memorial# 20608543) buried in the Looney Family Cemetery, Looneyville, Nacogdoches County, Texas USA. This cemetery is close to Friendship and since there is no Looneyville anymore it should be addressed as being in Cushing as Friendship is.

I am writing to say hello and to let you know we may have relatives in common. I am not familiar with the Acrey family in Nacogdoches County but am familiar with the McKnight family. My family names in that area are Hudson, Beard, Williamson, Byrd, Pye, and others. I have a step relationships, and half-cousin relationshiopsto the Looney and Baxter families. I have read these families came from the Isle of Mann in the British Isles. I find that very interesting.

Please share with me or ask me any questions you may have. I will always reply to your postings. When I have a specific question or want to share something with you, I will write you again. Memorials are important but the living contributors are important too.

Mount Lebanon, Pa
I am a shooter of cemetery graves. I have 300 cemeteries on my computer. Some of the folders have 10 thousand pix or more. Recently, I have been getting volunteers to enter some of the pix on findagrave. As winter approaches, you may find yourself with some extra time, I could use help in getting my Mount Lebanon pix on line.
about 8000. If you can help, drop me a line thanks Bill

Clay Moone marker - Monongahela Cemetery
You have Clay Moone buried in Monongahela Cemetery in Braddock, PA. I believe he might be buried in Monongahela Cemetery in Washington County, PA. He passed away 18 Nov 1980. He is definitely not buried in Monongahela Cemetery, Allegheny County, PA.

Lena is buried right next to John. So I do believe that is the wife you were looking for. If you need anything else feel free to ask and I will see what I can do for you.

Photo Request
This is related to photo requests for interments in Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, TX. I reside in Houston and I am "mowing the rows" taking photos. This is necessary because Memorial Oaks provides location info to only family. For photo requests to this cemetery to be filled, the complete plot location info is needed as there are more than 10,000 interments. Just the Section number would be helpful. There is a plot map on the cemetery main page. 832-330-9226

Chauncey Charles Acrey
While on a photo shoot at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery I happened to spot a Chauncey Charles Acrey, #255221. Any chance that he is a relative? I took a photo of his marker posted it to his memorial and suggested some additional information after a little bit of research. The VA wound up transferring his memorial to me. I'll try to dig into his history in a little more depth.
