Guise
Had stopped back by Guise entries and saw all your additions - (thank you). Are you related to the Guise family? I've been trying to find more about the family of Amos & Albert Guise. Amos died during the war & Albert A. became the guardian of my GG-grandmother Elvie. The father of Albert & Amos was Philip or Alva Guise; he married Elizabeth Dailey who I lost track of.

Jan Dahlquist
Ruth Jones Warren in Elmwood Memorial Gardens
wondering if her father Major Nesbitt Jones, who died December 16, 1942 in Lexington County is buried there also- his death certificate just says Elmwood for the cemetery but I note there is an Elmwood in Lexington County; then found this memorial for the daughter so now am wondering if maybe he is this one, not the one in Lexington County.
Thanks, Jan

Hi Kenneth, Thank you for getting back to me. I had not read Alberts wife obit. I have his death record and it said Fairlawn Cemetery. Thank you for the correction. Lynda

P. Hamilton
125098738 - McDaniel
I came across a funeral notice for an infant that I believe goes with this family. Maybe you can investigate the cemetery to check? Being the middle name was Frost - and Mrs McDaniel was a Frost...is seems very likely.

McDaniel - Edward Frost (infant son) of Mr and Mrs JE McDaniel. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery... 10-31-1902 - State newspaper - Columbia SC.

Bouknight Confusion
First, thanks for all you and all the Find A Grave volunteers do to make it easier for so many to find ancestors and kinfolk.
Secondly, I am confused. In the 1870 Richland County, SC, census, Ben Knight is listed with the family of Caleb Bouknight. It appears that Ben has married Caleb's daughter, Mary Elizabeth, with two of the their children listed. It is also stated that he is the father of Julia Knight in her Find A Grave listing at Elmwood Memorial gardens, Columbia, SC. Her two siblings list Robert Knight as their father in their Find A Grave listing. One sibling, Mrs. Anne Knight Selby also has her obituary listed which states that she is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Robert S. Knight. I have not been able to find where Benjamin or Robert S. Knight are buried.
If you can shed any light on this mystery I would be most grateful. Again, thanks for all you do to help people find where their ancestors and kin are buried.

Bacot transfers
Thank you so much for the transfers. I've added info. This is a fascinating family! The father graduated from West Point with Sherman, who later captured and released the son of his old classmate. That son quarreled badly with his sisters, went to SW Georgia and bought a traveling medicine show, adopted a new name, and never had anything to do with his sisters again.

It appears that the wife's stone is displayed on the husband's profile. Could you fix that please?

RE: Annita Floyd Lovett
No problem whatsoever, There possibly is a marker there with the spouse, and I have requested a photo of the marker. Will need to hyperlink if it exists.
Thanks -- Don

Actually 106635859 is not a duplicate of 43491247. 106635859 is in the correct cemetery based on photo available of marker and obituary that indicates burial at Lake City Mem. 43491247 is in the wrong cemetery and should be deleted, that is unless there is a marker there for whatever reason by the family.
Thanks
Don

Rebecca 'Reba' Porter Gay Ligon
Also wanted to thank you for the information you listed for this lady. I was thinking her maiden name was Smith because her obit mentions a brother with surname Smith, but after seeing your entry, I found her in several census records and further verified your Porter surname is correct for her. Her mother-in-law was a Smith.
So your efforts are extremely helpful!
Have a great weekend, Kenneth!
