RE: Pepper family
Very welcome & thanks for the kind post.

If you would like the Pepper pages (Lol), just let me know. Sounds like you like to add to the pages and you like to write, so that's great; no rush and no obligation though (now I sound like an infomercial.)

Love your profile statement, very well written.

I feel the same ways but have a problem being concise; it seems every time my profile statement is concise, it gets misinterpreted.

Hello Diana:

Thank you for posting a listing for my great-grandmother, Amanda Buttenbender. Could you please transfer ownership to me, member 48081901?

I notice you've found and posted her husbands siblings and their mother, Anna Hirsh Buttenbender, who are buried at Wunder's Cemetery. How did you find them? And, do you know where Anna's husband is buried?

Hi Diana - Definitely! I just transferred them over to your care. Family should be with family. Have a nice Thanksgiving! Warm Regards, Stacey

Happy to transfer to family (even remote relatives). My goal is to photograph and post memorials for the 3 local cemeteries. Slowly but surely I am accomplishing! nearly 20k photographs and 16k+ memorials.
take care of your family!

I've also found that Carl and Charles are often the same person. Carl is a variant of the name Charles, especially for German men.

Good luck with your research. :-)

I have found that the Muller Mueller Moeller Miller names were used interchangeably in the years before we all had an ID. My grandmother changed their last name from Mueller to Miller by changing the name on the mailbox during WWI.

The marriage license has Carrie's father as Moeller and her mother's maiden name as Mueller, which may have lead to some confusion somewhere down the line.

I got the info that Carrie Moeller Ratz was the first wife from my mother, who got it from GR's cousin. I imagine that if they divorced before 1920, it would not have been something to discuss in "polite society". Perhaps they never spoke of it after splitting up.

Just my thoughts.

Hi Diana,
I found the marriage information on The original and a summary are available to view. The marriage place is Indiana, which will help you find it.

Although not related by blood, my father was close to GR all his life. I remember visiting him, with my Dad, when he was dying of cancer. I have other more fond memories as well. He was part of our family life from the 1920's until his death.

Hi, He is my great grandfather. It was a shock to get this email. I have never known his birthday or any Swedish info. His Michigan marriage certificate listed he was from Stockholm and I never knew anything more about his roots there. My dad and the other graves are my relatives. Thanks again, Marcia

Thank you so much for the photos. That was very nice of you. I didn't think that I will ever get it. It has been a while since I requested it.
