John Ralleigh "Rolly" Northcut
I have changed his birth month to August rather than December.

I agree that his gravestone has an "8" far to the left-hand side. However, the date 12/18/31 is quite obvious to me as the birth date. Maybe the "8" stands for a section in the cemetery, or who knows. Nevertheless, I'm sticking with 12/18/31. But, again, I appreciate your pointing out the discrepancy. If you'd give the memorial number on your messages, it would be much appreciated.

Mary E. Ballard
I agree that the date is 1833 rather than 1835. I see that my request for a photo was filled on the same day that I created the memorial page for Mary Exum Ballard. I may not have had the photo to compare with my research. Thank you for pointing out the discrepancy.

RE: Thank YOU!
Hi Jo,

Thank you for your kind words. I am returning to Minnesota in late September and hope to find out more about our family.

RE: Photo
I found in my records where Sarah Rolandson's grandmother on her mother's side was named Sigrid, so it would make sense that Sarah's birth name was Sigrid.

I believe the Anders and Anna Rolandson Americanized their names (Andrew and Annie).

I have visited Andrew's and Annie's grave sites in Minnesota. They are in Trefoldighed Lutheran Cemetery near Battle Lake.

I do have other photographs of the Rolandson family, and I also have a Rolandson who lives in Billings that I could probably coerce into scanning photos for you.

RE: Photo
I have in my records where Sarah Rolandson was born October 7, 1853, in Valdres, Wisconsin. Sarah married Joe Simonson in Northwood, Minnesota. Sarah Rolandson Simonson in my records died on March 26, 1947, in McIntosh, Minnesota. Are Sigri and Sarah the same person?
In my records, I do not have a Sigri Rolandson as a sister to Andrew Rolandson.

I do have the names and birthdates of the parents of Andrew and Sarah Rolandson, and, also, grandparents.

Caroline Bondy Rolandson was my great-aunt. She was my grandpa's sister. I knew the Rolandson's, and I still maintain contact with one of them on a fairly regular basis.

I do have access to more information on the Rolandson family. Hopefully, I will have information for you.

RE: Photo
Glad you enjoyed the photo of the Rolandson family. My dad was a first cousin to these people. I knew several of them.

My name is Dwayne Bondy and I live in Billings, Montana. I guess we are related!

I just sent you the wrong Find A Grave Number again. The Find A Grave number from DaveVang's input is #38475240. I had originally sent you your own number. Sorry about all the confusion. Again, don't transfer yours to me; just, if you can, put the grave stone on Dave's. Gad! Linda

William bye
There are two William Bye's. DaveVang inputed William Bye, #3847524 in the year 2009. He had put William into Find A Grave without a cemetery because he did not know where William was buried but had put his life write-up on it. When I notified Dave where William was buried, then we had two show up for the Rio cemetery. Since you took the photo of the grave and had entered the memorial in the year 2012, I thought, if you still had the photo, you could put the photo on Dave's memorial and delete yours. Don't transfer it to me. Thanks for all the work you have done at Rio. Linda

Do you still have William Bye's grave stone? He is on Find A Grave twice and I have notified Dave who had put William on Find A Grave first. If you have the stone yet, could you put it on the other memorial, #100878192. Thanks

RE: Sarah Amon's Grave
You are very welcome. Pond Creek is the most difficult cemetery because there seems to be no master record. But every once in a while we take the trip and go searching. It is rewarding when we find a requested stone. Others have helped us find family stones, so we try to return the favor.

Cannot comply with your request, but have forwarded your request to Roger Vick (46868454)
