Memorial Images
My name is Douglas C. Johnson and I was wondering if I could have your permission to use your photographs of the graves of Maria Felipa "Mary" Vargus (nee Diaz) and Francisco Corralejio "Frank" Vargus at Saint Marys Cemetery in Muscatine, Muscatine County, Iowa on the FamilySearch Family Tree website. I would of course list it with full credit given to you for the use of the image.
Thank You,

I did add some notations to Peter's memorial, and send a request to the owner of Isaac's memorial for an update removing the parent relationship to Peter.

Peter Hesser 1810-1890
Hello there, after talking with Neal, I realized that I do not have access to make the changes for Isaac T. Hesser's relationship to Peter.

Neal did have great supporting evidence to confirm that it certainly appears Isaac T. Hesser was a brother and not a son. Although, I am not 100% confident that Peter didn't have a son named Isaac with his 2nd wife Mary. His obit did share that he was the father of 13 children. It's still possible there's a Isaac out there that is Peter's son.

I mean, anything is possible, right?

Thanks for reaching out to me.

Rebecca Foster

Neal Hesser
Peter Hesser born 1810
The Isaac Thomas Hesser listed was not his son. It was his younger brother (14 of 14) who had moved in with him when their father died and their mother remarried.

Greetings, Miss Marty. I have found what I believe to be the son of Peter and Minerva Rouch Hesser. Please review the Memorial# 100902969 to see if you agree. This is the military record I found.
Hesser , Heman Rouse
Battle Unit Name: 7th Regiment, Iowa Infantry

I realize there are discrepancies in the names but I have seen that often. Thank you for your time.

Thanks you for adding that beautiful photo of Rachel's stone. When I was there the stone was in pretty bad shape. I Love the new one you added. Thank again

RE: Ophelia DeJean
Thank you for findings. Knew that Ophelia was a Crunkilton but had her spouse wrong. Thanks again for your helpful input in getting this right. Will have to change this on my website also. Love Find A Grave and the many wonderful connections.

Please email me directly, if you can. My email link is in my profile. I am so excited to finally have some information that fits what my records show, and the obit is just such a treasure.

I've had the Musser Library look up some other Hobart's for me. They didn't have this one.

I'm smiling from ear to ear right now.

Thanks again!!!

Thank you ever so much for the additional information for my 3rd grandmother. I am truly appreciative. I would love to know more about the connection to your mother-in-law, and the source of the obit that you supplied. I see the newspaper name, but I'd like to have an actual copy for my records.

What a wonderful treasure you have shared. I am so thankful.

RE: Nelda Lenderman Gravestone
Thank you for the information on Nelda Lenderman. I will look for the photo on the website you mentioned. I would still like to have a photo with both dates on it, so I will leave the request up in case someone just happens to go to the cemetery. Thanks again!

sorry, not seeing Margaret at the McComb cemetery. Looking at that cemetery posting, I think it is a cemetery duplication of Macomb Cemetery

RE: Location of Grayson Cemetery, Sherman, TX
I got to my database, and I had the wrong cemetery posted. I got his death certificate and he's really in the Fairview Cemetery, in Denison, Grayson Co., Texas.

RE: Thomas Jack Painter
Thank you for the fast response!

I did find the Greenwood cemetery and photos of grave stones on the Grayson County TX GenWeb site. However, I cannot find a photo of the grave stone for Thomas Jack Painter.

I did find a couple of places on the website that lists his name.

Are you able to provide a website address or a link to the photo?

Thanks, and sorry for being a pest!
