Transfer of Record Maintenance Request
Hey Chris, Iím working on our family tree, and in researching the FindaGrave site I see that you have added the record for Louise F. Johnson # 108468717 in the Shadowlawn Cemetery in Lawrenceville, Gwinnett County, Georgia. Louise B. (Thomas) Johnson is the Great Grandmother of my Daughter-in-Law. Iíd like to request that you transfer the record to me ( CIMpleBS -#48802269) so that I may add family links, a bio and pictures. I see by your numbers you have been at this for a while, so let me ask if you have a recommendation for a website that really has obituaries from the newspapers. Iíve tried two paid sites and found none of my family members. I am in at the base level, and donít mind paying for a good site, but am tired of paying for nothing. Thanks for all your efforts in this fascinating hobby. I just got hooked recently again after retiring, so Iíll be working on learning the most effective search methods. I agree on your comment, FindaGrave is one of the most intuitive and content filled sites I've found. The more family members we get involved, the better the information gets. Any guidance greatly appreciated. Thanks. Dan

RE: James McDaniel
Thanks so much. I wondered if that's what had happened. It would be an easy mistake to make. Bud was still one great guy, about the nicest contributor I've ever met on FindaGrave, and I'm really sorry he's gone.

Mollie Pharr
I got your edit for Mollie Pharr, memorial# 19079780. Where does the name (Frank) come in, since it's on her headstone? I didn't create the memorial, but if I had I would have added it as her nickname since it's in parenthesis on her headstone, but I see Bud added it as her middle name.

Leila Crow info
Hi, little Leila Estelle Crow would have been my mother's oldest sibling had she not died at such a young age. I attempted to add her family info, but the page wouldn't allow it stating that info is pending,

I would like to link her to her parents George Vincent Crowe and Bertie Mae Cassidy.

Chris, thank you so much for the photos. Being so far away, your help is the only way to find the "family." I appreciate all you efforts. Best Regards, Jody

I hope I am not repeating the message I sent when I got back from the Cemetery. I did not stay long because it is a good day for ducks. I did find the two graves with the help of your pictures on find a grave. I know it was a lot easily since I knew what they look like. I will go back when the weather is better Thanks for all your help Bobby

I would be grateful if you transferred the graves. Thank again

RE: Dicy Ruthledge

Just got back from the cemetery. It is a good day for ducks, not searching cemeteries. I did take two pictures, one of Dicy Rutledge and the other, her mother, Mary Jane Killcrease. The area I was in is full of Bowen, Etheridge, Rice, Rutledge and Killcrease. I will have to go back when I can spend a lot more time.
If you want to transfer the two to me, I would be grateful. Thank again for all the help. Bobby Rice

RE: Dicy Ruthledge
Thanks Chris

I live about 10 miles from the Cemetery. I plan to go there this afternoon, if I don't get rained out.

In all you picture that you took of the Cemetery, do you remember any thing about Dicy Rutledge, grand mother, Her name would have been, Dicy Etheridge or Dicy Bowen. I think Dicy Bowen died in childbirth in 1852-53, Mary Jane Kilkrease was her daughter's name. I looked at your two pictures of Dicy Rudledge and Mary Kilkrease headstones, Knowing what they look like will help me find them.

The way I am related is Dicy Bowen married Joel Etheridge. Joel Etheridge second wife, was Emily M Rice, Emily M. Rice Etheridge was part of my family.

Thanks again for your help. Bobby Rice

Could you tell me the approx. location of this headstone. Dicy's mother is buried there and hopefully her grand mother. They should all in the same plot. Thanks Bobby Ricre

Chris I have also seen you on which I have had record matches with you I believe you are a cousin. Do you know where Penelope and Julius King are buried? I know that we have grandparents in Prospect United Methodist Church in Gwinnett County Lawrenceville GA.

My grandparents are Andrew Jackson King and Nancy Lantern King. I am having difficulty find their parents. Any information you have on either sets of parents for them would be much appreciated.

Rebecca Byrd Gravestone Photo
Thanks so much for the Photo. This is a hard family to document. they were some of my Wife's
Ancestors and I think migrant or tenant farmers. While there, did you by any chance see a marker for William C. Byrd? or perhaps there is no marker, as he was an infant who died at birth or during infancy, (1932).
Many thanks,
Bill Wray
