Your call. I'll maintain any memorials that you want to transfer.

Yes it takes a village, and you photographers add so much to the memorials. Thank you!

Saw that you had done some work at Graham Cemetery near Wayne. I ventured out there yesterday for the first time. Very interesting place. Found a few headstones I was searching for but not all. I will be back. How is your research going? Have been away from it for a bit myself but trying to carve out some time before Summer arrives.

RE: George Heinl
I was just starting out in genealogy when Skip made his comment!
No ancestry subscription, still don't have one, but I sure found free sites and several real nice people at many cemetery offices.
Also one real nice person who helped me get obits from the Toledo Blade which just sent me finding more for Skip.

I think it was the beauty of the marker that stopped me & inspired me to take a photo.
I was walking the cemetery with my significant other at the time.
He has a lot of 'relatives' buried in this cemetery.
As of right now I don't remember if George is a part of his family.
He challenged me saying I wouldn't be able to find info for a family tree for him.
I did surprise him & had him walking several cemeteries in the area.
Sadly to say he passed away last year.

RE: Hi, my friend
I have pretty good grandchildren.
With my daughter & her family living so far away there isn't much she can do.
Thanks for caring.

RE: Hi, my friend
Thank you!

You also have a very Merry Christmas.
Christmas won't be as bad as the 2nd of Dec. was.
Why the 2nd you ask?
The 2nd would have been Kevin's birthday.
I survived and my grandchildren tried making it better the 3rd when my grandson 'kidnapped' took me to his sister's where we had sloppy joes then we bundled up the great-grandkids and went to the zoo lights!
Yep, 1 grandson,2 granddaughters, granddaughter to be and 4 great-grandchildren.
So that helped a lot.

RE: request for copy of your photo
You're quite welcome, Cynthia. I don't know how i overlooked putting the picture on that memorial in the first place. The Wood county Genealogical Society asked me to update some headstone photo's at a cemetery about 20 miles away, but I begged out of it. I don't like to be gone from home for much more than an hour at a time, and it's too darned cold to be tromping around in cemeteries right now. When spring gets here, I'll be right back at it again. It's going to be very cold for a few days, so try to make sure you dress accodingly when you travel about, and drive carefully. Colin

RE: Beautiful job on Kerr's memorial
I did find his wife and his son and both of the memorials are on F-a-G. I put the memorial numbers in his bio but didn't link them. From reading the newspaper articles I am not sure they would wish to be linked. I was fortunate that Leavenworth sent me the entire prisoner file for a few dollars. It included the photo, all the interactions, a handwritten letter from Frank and a request for a copy of the file from the second prison. His family was very well-to-do. He went to medical school then seems to have gone off the rails with the divorce. I have always loved the photo of my great-great grandfather and Frank as boys. It was a mystery as to what happened to him. Happy to have solved it.

RE: George Kerr headed your way
I have updated the memorial if you want to take a look. The top photo is Frank and my great-grandfather (yes, that is a boy). I looked for Frank Kerr and could never even find a birthdate. I did find a birth record for a George Kerr with the right parents/right year but I wasn't positive it was him. It wasn't until I got that I found out what happened. The prisoner file from Leavenworth had a file transfer request from another prison for Frank Kerr's file in relation to a George Kerr they had in their prison. I was finally able to confirm they were one and the same: memorial #98374566

Thank you again for the transfer!
