Charles Giles
Sorry I had a typo of his name on the first message. I found the family that you show on the 1880 Census . It doesn't appear that your Charles H Giles on the Colorado Census is the same Charles of ours who married Effie Lowe in Missouri. Also you show Bertha as born in 1879 and that is the same year as our Charles was born yet on your Colorado Census your Charles H is 7 and Bertha is 3. Hope we can work this out so as not to confuse future researchers. Thanks.

Charles Gles parents?
Hi Debra,
I am working on the Giles tree for a friend. I question the parents you have listed for Charles Giles. I show Benjamin L and Laura B Williams. I have them on the 1880 Census and other researchers have them also (on so I am wondering what documentation you have to how the parents as john Benjamin Giles and Francis Christine Nold. Thanks. I just want to get it right.

Debra, I have made the transfer of George G. Carpenter to you. Love the photo you have added to his memorial. Makes me think I have done the right thing and that you will take good care of him.

Thanks for the correction. I made them and then was able to find additional dates and information and added that as well.

RE: Wiegand stone
I added the picture of the stone on the site. Guess I thought there was a space between the N and A. Also put in a picture for Emil. I have the rest of them but they have my shadow and I don't like that. I take these pictures to get the reading, but when I have acceptable ones will add them.
Thanks for the correction.

Very interesting information and letter from the mother on the family. I transfered Howards memorial to you since you are related and I am not and added the updates you gave me. Changed death date from 21 to 24th. I also linked him to parents John and Christine. To bad he died at such a young age. So many in this cemetery are too young. I wonder what did him in? Was it consumption? You might want to add that or edit what I put on there. Enjoy. Let me know if I can help you more or if you add any thing so I can see as I'm interested in him. Take care.

Dear Debra,

Thank you so very much for sending me the picture of my great-great grandparents grave! Last year my sister and I walked that entire cemetery and never found their grave. We're from California, and we took a trip back there last year to see where some of our ancestors came from. Most lived in Patriot, some in Rising Sun area. We also went to Kentucky to see where my husbands family was from.

Thanks again for sending the picture, I really appreciate it!

RE: Eliz Lewis
Thank you, I will make a note of your advice. I really want to go, James P Lewis is the fartherest back I can find on my Lewis side and my Lewis GGrandparent were in Switzerland Co but moved to Ohio Co, IN and I have to look for them because I haven't found when they died or where. It would be great to see it in person and walk on the ground they walked on. I do want to see it. Burnice

RE: Eliz Lewis
Thank you so much for taking those pictures. James P Lewis and Elizabeth Lewis were my GGGrandparents. They are such wonderful pictures that it would make it worth it to take a trip from here in Oregon to see them. Elizabeth J Lewis was my GGrand Aunt of course.
Your help is so much appreciated.
