Photo removal
Greg B.

Would you remove the two bad photos on Willard Fuller's memorial. Memorial # 104337016 You had taken a new photo after the cemetery had cleaned his stone. His son has made this request. The person who place the photos has to be the one to remove them. Find A Grave says all you have to do is log in and click on the photo and after it comes up there will be a place to delete.
Thanks Kenneth Schneider

Ida McCalla
Hi, I live by Fairhaven, and would be happy to get a photo of the marker. Fairhaven will not give location info to non-family members. If you contact them and get the plot info, please ask for any additional info, like landmarks, people next to Ida, or how they number the plots. I have been trying to find a few others there, and even with the lot, space info they give, I have looked an entire lawn area and not found the marker. Warm regards, Barbara

Heidi Nelson
Boggs Relative
Hi Greg,

I was on Find A Grave looking for some of my Boggs family members and found that we have common ancestors. I too am related to Robert and Martha Boggs. They are my 5x great grandparents. My line is Robert/Martha, Robert Jr, James, Benton, Glenn, Gordon, me. You mentioned DNA testing, I've done the DNA testing on Ancestry. I would love to connect. I am trying to piece together the PA Boggs family information. I have 100+ year old letters written by James Boggs' wife Matilda and she talks about various people/relatives who were living around the Butler/Evans City area in 1906/1907. I would love to add last names to the first names of people she mentions.

RE: William O Speer
In my experience filling photo requests at Oakdale, the WPA records got more wrong (or just plain left out) than they got right. Especially problematic was their listing of the single interment sections. They left out the tier, and listed the grave number as a lot number.

I think this was the only one, but I'll have to check the records again.

I transferred the Kline memorial to the wrong individual. Instead of to you it went to Keith Roper, 48031757. I have sent him an email asking him to refer it to you or back to me if he cannot refer it to you. I very sorry this happened but I'll try to get it corrected.

RE: Cheetham
You are welcome! Glad I could help. I noticed the huge amount of requests and went down there and took random photos one day. The cemetery office is so busy that I can see why they no longer want anyone to come in and ask where so and so ancestor from the 1800's is buried. The phone rings all the time. You happened to get lucky. I figure the ones may have been the dead calling to me to take photos of their graves because they knew someone would be looking for that photo one day.

Walter Doherty
RE: Walter Doherty
Hi there, thank you so much for the information regarding the date. I feel better now :-) Walter Doherty and Edna Doherty were my God Parents. Really amazing people, Daddio (as I called him my whole life) was the most honest and honorable person I have ever known and my dad in every way that counted. He served in the military, but I do not remember which branch. He was married once before marrying Edna. They had a son together named Patrick, who died when he was 14 due to an automobile accident.
Daddio loved to hunt, he loved to fish and he was all about teaching me to be self sufficient. When most kids took barbie dolls to show and tell, I took rattle snake rattlers, my collection. We lived in Anza California, the high deserts, then after my mom took me away around 8 or 9 I was only allowed to visit them every summer, which was devastating, because for all intents and purposes they were my parents. I just cannot tell you enough wonderful things about Daddio, he was my world. He taught me how to fish, hunt, pluck feathers from the doves we hunted. He taught me how to ride a horse and shoot a rifle. Living in Anza with the two of them, was without question the best time in my life, my memories are warm and loving. Growing up with rattlesnakes, scorpions and them was a gift that I treasure. He was incredibly smart, he thought big, you know like big picture things. He was the most honorable person I have every known and there isn't a day that goes buy when I don't miss him and Edna. I'm sorry I don't have any info regarding his first marriage. If you have any specific questions I will be glad to answer if I can, its been a long time.
Best Regards,
Kathy Ashby Neely

Thank you!
Wow, I didn't expect to get the photo so quickly, Thank You!!! It means a lot to me to see this. AL Crippen was my grandfather, although he died before I was born. My mother told me stories about him. I'm currently writing a family history for my daughter (and her future descendants). I used to go to to Corona to visit my grandmother, but never went to the cemetery. I now live in Northern CA so I don't know if I'll ever get back to Corona, but I hope to visit my grandfather's grave someday. than you so much for sending the photo!

Howard stone was a friend. We met in the late 1990s. The photo was part of a memory DVD put together after he passed away.
