146495848 - Joel E Lowe
Do you have any records that indicate the parents of Joel E Lowe, Memorial #146495848?

My great grandfather was a twin, born in February, 1892, whose sibling did not survive childbirth. We believe their mother also died as a result of childbirth. No one in our family knows their mother's name.

Their father was Zachariah "Fred" Lowe, son of Isaac C. Lowe and Sarah Shehorn.

Thanks for your help.

Hello, I don't know where George W Modlin is buried. I just came across Melissa's maiden name and wanted to pass it on to you for her Memorial.

Thank you!

What is a "D"?

This is what it says on the bottom of John J. Wilson's findagrave entry:
Created by: Edward L. Baugher III
Record added: May 22, 2009
Find A Grave Memorial# 37393859

This is what it says on the bottom of Sarah "Sallie" (Robinson) Wilson's findagrave entry:
Created by: Indian Creek
Record added: Jan 14, 2013
Find A Grave Memorial# 103568559

They are both in the Mount Olive Cemetery, Roland, White County, Illinois.

I just thought it would be nice to have the connection between John J Wilson and Sallie, John's 2nd wife, documented. I actually didn't realize until just now that you weren't who was managing John's findagrave site.

Sarah Wilson, 1826-1883
Her stone says she was the wife of John Wilson, and according to the 1870 & 1880 censuses, that would be correct.

John J. Wilson (1811-1899) married (1) abt 1834, Nancy (Blakeney) (1811-1864); (2) abt 1865, Sarah/Sallie [--?--]. John had 11 children with Nancy and two with Sallie.

Edith Yates in IOOF
I am related to the Yates in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Thank you very much for the work done. I recognized them all except for the entry for Edith Yates b. 2 Jun 1915 d. 14 Feb 2000. There is no photo.

I believe this is in fact Edith M Carr Satterfield Yeatts. The birth and death dates are exactly the same in the Social Security Death Index and her residence was in Broughton which is very near the cemetery.

Margrett Eubanks # 92913624
Hi, I believe you got the wrong William attached to Margrett as her spouse for that William S. Eubanks is 58 YEARS her junior.
I believe her spouse was William Eubanks # 42199794 who died in 1834.

Hi Cherie..I have started putting the Ebenezer photos up and have already ran into quite a few edits. Several people not on your list also. I sent you an edit for a multiple listing for a Behymer/Floyd. More work for you I am afraid.

Ebenezer Cemetery
I ran across your memorials for James & Mary Adams and other Adams family members buried at Ebenezer Cemetery in Norris City. Thanks so much for posting these!

James and Mary Elizabeth (Powell) Adams were my great-great-great-grandparents, and all the other Adams buried there are also family members. Iím so happy to finally learn where they were interred.

Your Find A Grave bio indicates the information for the memorials posted comes from ďobits from Campbell Funeral Home, records and books at the Norris City library, and personal work and research from Cheri Ciaravino, Shelia Albright and John DeLap.Ē If you still have the records used to create the Adams memorials, can you tell me where that information came from?

Iím planning to travel to Illinois soon and would like to visit Norris City to do some more research on my Adams ancestors, including a visit to the Ebenezer Cemetery. Should I visit the Campbell Funeral Home (i.e. were they even in business circa 1900?) or the Norris City Library? Any assistance you could offer me would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Nancy Reykdal

Hello -

Thank you so much for making the edits for me. I noticed that you have about 6 Deboard family members. Would you consider transfer of them.

Really bad day - had to put my cat to sleep. They discovered that she had a huge tumor.

I'm very glad that all were fixed. It will be easier for people to find their relatives now. You will probably hear from me again since there are several more cemeteries in Indian Creek that need to be photographed..
