Benton Killian
This is not the same Benton that belongs to my family. He was from Oregon and never lived in New York.

RE: Borden family
That would be fine, but the only Gilberts there that I know for sure I'm related to are Richard, Rose Jackson Gilbert, and Frances Gilbert Kirkbride. If they are related to the other Gilberts in the Columbia Cemetery, I have not come across the information in my tree as of yet. Thank you very much for the Bordens- I hope to get back there again to check on them again.

RE: Borden family
Hi Gale- Thanks for the message. If you would like to transfer EJ Borden, that would be fine, but it is not a must if you prefer not to. Either way is fine!

Hello Gale,

Thank you for asking but I am ok with you keeping the memorial. Darol was my Great-Uncle and he was one of 12 siblings.

Memorial # 155533514 Edwin A Loberg

Just wondering where you got the 1983 death date for Edwin Loberg as it is not on the tombstone. Edwin's son died in 1983 and I found a tombstone in Arlington National Cemetery for Edwin A. Loberg who was born on 20 Feb 1915 and died 28 Feb 2004. I believe this is the same Edwin A Loberg.

Carrie Doheny
Hi Gale,

I noticed your photo request for the grave of Carrie Doheny at Evergreen Cemetery. I've been told that she was no longer buried there as of 1926. Her remains now rest at the burial site of her son Ned at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale.

Your family has an interesting connection to this rather notorious clan. It sounds like you've done a great job of researching your family in general!

Palma Hansen found?
Gale, I think I found the memorial you were looking for. "Palma M. Hansen" rather than "Hanson," birth and death years the same as you noted, is located in the Norwegian Cemetery just a few miles from Ascension. Please see memorial 55898607. Hope this helps.

RE: Myrna Olson photo
One additional thought, Gale. Is there any chance the "missing" graves could be in a different location? Bethesda Cemetery is about a half mile from where the "missing" are reported to be buried. Since there were many Norwegian names there, I looked through those headstones, but couldn't find either Linda or Palma in that location. I don't know any of these people or their connections, but I did find and photo the Carpenters that are listed as Linda's parents. If there is another location I can check for amy of these folks, please let me know.

You're entirely welcome, Gale. Glad it worked out. I did take several chose-up photos of the Pederson monument as well. I'm still working on editing the pictures to maximize what can be read, but I don't think we'll ever have all the inscription deciphered. The stone is very badly worn, wording difficult to make out, and many letters can no longer even be felt by a fingertip on the surface of the marble. I'll get those posted as soon as I finish the Photoshop work. Sorry there isn't more clarity available, but perhaps someone has an older photo that predates the Wisconsin winter ravages and damages. If you work with Photoshop, or know someone who is good at this type of work, I'd be happy to send the original photos directly to your email. That way someone with better talents would have more pixels to work with than what will be accepted by the website. I did talk with a professional photographer about the problem, and she assured me if we can't see the details with the human eye, there isn't a camera in existence that will capture anything more. Hope we can at least get you a few additional words...or letters...than you now have.

I have used that site before and had a obit or two sent to me but haven't used it for quite some time and had forgotten about it. Thanks for the reminder. I will probably have to do some more Shawano hunting this winter.

Shawano County
Gale, Do you live in or around Shawano county? My great-great grandfather came from Shawano county. His name was Frank Lade and there are quite a few Lade's in cemeteries there. I would be interested in having you try to look up some info for me at a later time if possible. You can send me an e-mail if you like. My address is on my contributor page.
