RE: Shavers Cemetery
I don't live far from Monongah. I am actually hoping to get back to some of these overgrown cemeteries in the fall or winter when the bramble has died.

RE: Shavers Cemetery
Yes, it is past Grove on Tower Hill. you would go around the curve about .2 mile there is a lane through the field on the right hand side of the road. follow that lane to the smaller of the 2 barns (the one to the right of the lane), the cemetery is beside this barn. You can see it from the road but you really have to know there is a cemetery there since it is trees and bramble. You can also see Shaver cemetery from Grove cemetery, again, if you know it's there. Also, the land owner says this is Leeper cemetery but it also known as King cemetery.
Sorry to hear that you've been under the weather :( if you make it back to WV, let me know and I can take you to the cemetery if my directions are confusing, I'm not very good at directions.

Betty Kohli

Thank you for your efforts in attemptng to fulfill my photo request for Betty Kohli. I have made a notation on her memorial to reflect your findings. I really appreciate you taking the time to look for her. So sad not to have a marker.

RE: Shavers Cemetery
Which Shaver cemetery? There are 2 listed in Marion county and I have photographed both of them. In both, I photographed all of the stones. The older one has many stones that are destroyed.

Someone who had this book helped me once. See web site of Ritchie County Historical Society.
Book: Ritchie County, WV Cemeteries Through 1993
852 pages with Index and supplemental map. Approximately 325 cemeteries/burying grounds and 19,000 names. Hardbound. (Donation of at least $40.00 plus $4.50 postage & handling)
I don't know the location of the cemetery.

Transfer done. Of course you can always add pictures to any memorial without being the manager.

You requested something from Charles Fry (as I had).He is deceased and therefore we cannot get things done. I've notified Find A Grave and have never heard from them. Sorry

Washington Wade Poling
I can not find the source data about his burial. I did transfer Washington Wade Poling, Susanna Belle Powell Robinson and her first husband Ellis Lane Robinson to you.
Good Luck

Transfer completed. Sorry that is not a very good photo, it was a very windy day when I took it - blowing the flag.

RE: Sophia Louise Hollman
I am assuming that you are speaking of St. Bernard's in Indiana, PA.
The next time that I am there, I will look. It will probably be around Memorial Day.
I live in western New York State and get to Indiana about 2 times a year. We have relatives buried in St. Bernard's Cemetery and that is how I happen to have my name attached to the cemetery.
I will be happy to look for you!
