|gkc1||RE: Hyde Transfers|
Thanks Sharon. I'll check for your edits. By the way, if its okay, can you transfer the rest of the Ebenezer Hydes to me? The four that are important are daughter Mary Ann Hyde, son Alfred Hyde, his wife Sarah Farrow Hyde, and son Henry's first wife Maria E. Johnstone Hyde. Henry moved west after she died and remarried. The others are all children of Alfred who died young. They had fourteen children together but half of them never saw adulthood. I would really appreciate it. :-)

No problem I will now enter her maiden name as Hazelwood
I guess the date on the stone is burial rather than died

|Valerie Gray||Mary Ansell|
I accepted your edit to change Mary Ansell last name to HUNTER but on revisiting the stone,
I am in some doubt as to whether it should be changed so undid the edit.
My reason is although it says HUNTER on the top of the stone, Mary's daughter Alice married a Hunter and I think the stone was erected with Hunter as Alice and William bought it. I have no idea whether there is another burial written on the reverse side of the stone or not.( which may be a Hunter relative.)
If you are related and know for sure that it should be Hunter then I will revisit the request
The inscription definitely says Mary Ansell mother of Alice J.

You're welcome! Jean and Donald were transferred awhile ago, sometime last year, probably after one of our previous exchanges.
I checked the burial register transcript for Margaret Edwards Wilton, but she's not there. On reflection, I realized that since you gave me an exact death date, I should check the microfilm for that period in case her entry was listed under some unlikely variant. That will be in a couple of days.

|Travel_w_Cat||RE: Mary Anne Keenan Williams|
Thank you SO MUCH!
It is good to see it well maintained and in good order. I had anticipated a highly-weathered stone in an under-maintained churchyard. Someone mentioned that Mary Anne's obit was quite unusual at the time...the length, and the fact that it was written for a woman. She and John had 11 children.one my GGrandfather.I see another on the stone as well.
You may have seen the below before. I have in a .pdf file, forwarded via an extended family site that sends me info. Can't figure out how to send to you.
"WE ARE THE CHOSEN IN EACH FAMILY
There is one who seems called to find the ancestors to put flesh on their bones and make them seem alive again.
To tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve.
Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts but instead breathing life into all who have gone before.
We are the storytellers of the tribe.

Knowing where I don't need to look is also important. I suspect we may never locate his grave although he lead an interesting life.
I'll post a request for photos of Many Anne and John's grave on Findagrave for this cemetery.

|Travel_w_Cat||Mary Anne Keenan Williams|
Mary Anne's grave is in Ebenezer United Church Cemetery and I posted her picture and obit on findagrave. She is my grandmother many times removed.
I was pleased to see you added John Williams to the Ebenezer Cemetery list. I didn't know he was also buried there.
Question...I'm trying to locate the grave of Mary Anne's father, Denis Keenan.1789-1865. He was a British Soldier who settled in Action area when he returned to North America with daughter Mary Anne.
Keenan family was Catholic, and undoubtedly Mary Anne converted when she married John. 186X census shows Denis as Catholic.
Haven't been able to locate Denis' grave. Any thoughts? Ebenezer? Catholic cemetery?

You're very welcome, Sharon. For transfers, I operate more-or-less on the principle that if an established F/G contributor shows significant interest (by way of SAC / inquiry) in a memorial that I created, and if the deceased is not related to me, I'm happy to pass stewardship along to the person who has done the research. I'm sure you'll take good care of these ones in like manner. :D
All the best for 2017 and beyond / =]) Beth

You're right! I pasted that part from another memorial. The names are on the interment, but there headstones are not found. I wanted to edit out the 2nd part of the comment, but couldn't do that once I saved it. I've looked for the Salisbury's on 5 different occasions, since it was first requested. Yesterday I was able to locate William Salisbury in the Sennett Section. Glad to help...

|Steven Glover||RE: Downey Family|
Sharon, you are correct Thelma was stillborn in Millgrove. I have submitted another edit.
My mother was a Downey, so these are all family members. Thus I know all the details.
Thelma Downey is duplicated with another sibling on this site, #132364761 which should be deleted as the are both the same person.
