RE: Sacred Heart Cemetery
Hi Pat,
I'm not sure if it will fix all the duplications as a lot of the memorials were so wrong that it is hard to tell if there is a duplication or just another person. I added about 230 memorials and hopefully fixed a lot of existing ones. Hope to see you again next summer when we return from Florida.
Keep up the good work. - Russ

Thank you for the information. I am not related. I just like to add memorials for others in search of their relatives if none exists previously. I have updated his bio to include the new information, however.

Thanks,
Elyshia

Pat Sproat
RE: Lovina Hudson Blain/Sproat
Yes I knew about the school. I would love to have
visited Dorr but now am too old. (83) I don't
do long travel anymore. But I met some of the
Michigan Sproat's and also had them in my home
on visits. (I have lived in Houston, Texas since
1956, and became friends with one of my husband's
cousins (Robert Sproat who also lived in Texas.
Was born in Michigan, but military brought him
to Texas.)
My husband's Aunt Mary Sproat Emmons, had a ton
of pictures of family and knew a lot of history.
She gave me a lot of family information and pictures.
The cemetery we did not know at the time it was
called the Sproat cemetery. just was written down
as Dorr cemetery. Robert went back and took a lot
of pictures but he also thought it was Dorr.
Or maybe I misunderstood what he was trying to
explain.
Wish I was younger, I sure would plan a trip
to Michigan.

Katie Sproat Hudson
Since Samuel Sproat died in 1865
it is possible that Katherine remarried
to a Dennis is why her named is Dennis.
I researched a lot of the daughter Lavina (Lovina) who married Blaine ,tracing on census her children and
on some of the census they have their mother
born in the US. I have not checked the Dennis
Ohio marriage records for her to have married
before she left Ohio. I will do that and if I
find any marriage will let you know. I did
check Michigan records and none for Dennis to
Katherine.
Thanks for all that you do
Pat

David will look at the info and add her memorial. The info was very scant on the cemetery site so he will want to make it more complete and make sure it is noted on both her sites.TY

RE: Hilda Mary Conrad

Thank you, my husband has already found the death record along with noting on the 1920 census that her mother was visiting her out west. He has added the appropriate note on her memorial so no other documentation will be needed as he stated it may be a cenotaph. If a persons name is on a stone with complete dates the memorial should never be deleted but the possible cenotaph should be noted to avoid another memorial being created.

RE: Hilda Mary Conrad

Since I have a photo of the stone, complete with birth and death date I will not delete the memorial. Esp. since no one has proven she is buried elsewhere. We have extensive experience with undocumented, and missed records in a cemetery. It would be odd for her stone to be so complete and not a reason for it. If nothing else it is at least a cenotaph and would be noted as such if and when another burial is proven.

John Hayes
Thank you so much for your lovely reply message and posting John Henry Hayes' obituary. I am SO happy you posted his obituary. I found it but did not want to presume to place it on the memorial. It is a very small world out there when it comes down to it in genealogical research.....so many share the same names or same birthday dates or something like that. It is rather remarkable that there were 2 John H. Hayes out there with the same birth and death years that died and were buried in Michigan. The birth and death information just need to be 'swapped" and both gentleman will have everything correct on their memorial.

I have a death certificate for John Howard Hayes and will post it over the weekend. I was glad to notice by yesterday that the daughter and spouse for the Flint buried Hayes was removed. The daughter was put on the correct memorial but the wife has yet to be connected. Fingers crossed soon.

I have enjoyed most of my time on Find A Grave. I have found so many family connections through this site....it's wonderful! I do a lot of 'looking' up for the Museum but this is really my first jump into the confusion of this nature. It's been fun figuring it all out. We too are lacking in volunteers. I am the youngest and here shortly, will turn 51 :) I do the newsletter and try to always put out the need for help with this and that......and that we might be few but we are MIGHTY!!

Take Care - Karen

Harold Parmelee
I am afraid I don’t have any info on Harold. I am going thru the Michigan death records for Parmelee family, but they are not posted online back that far. I think it begins in 1895. Sorry…kb

RE: Anna Messenger #107063880

The name I have is right from her original death cert. So since it coincides with her stone she should be listed as Anna, and I added Sarah as her middle name which is how it is listed. She was living with her son who provided the information.
Perhaps you could find a descendant through her son. Best of luck.

RE: Donald Tebbett

I will check to see if his mother has a Memorial, but his father returned to England in the 1960's and died there!

I believe Donald Tebbett is buried by his grandfather, father of his mother!

I know there is a way to put it in the Bio that will link them if you know how to do that, it would be Wonderful!

Been so long ago that I did it, that I can't remember how one does it!
