Thanks so much for your help. I had that information, but not the images.

In addition, I have found this as well:

From the book Duelm Family of Texas in the New Braunfels Library

HEINRICH DUELM, born 1-28-1830, in Hagen, Frafschaft Pymont Furstenth, Waldeck, Prussia, Germany.
He died on 2-9-1909, and was buried in the New Braunfels city cemetery in New Braunfels, Comal County, Texas.

Wife-ANNA MARIA LAMMERS, born in 1807, in Hagen, Germany. She died on 9-21-1897, and was buried in the New Braunfels City cemetery in New Braunfels, Comal County, Texas. They all arrived in Texas on the Ship "Bark Iris" on 10-17-1866. They were married on 5-20-1856, in Westfalen, Ibbenburen, Germany.

CHILDREN - BERNHARD DUELM, born in 1850, in Hagen, Waldeck, Prussia, Germany. Bernhard may be a son from an earlier marriaqe by Heinrich, or he could be a son of Anna Maria and adopted by Heinrich.

Her tombstone says:
Here rests in God Frau Maria Dulm, born Lammers, on 25 April 1807 in Ibbenburen near Muenster Prussia. Died 20 September 1897.

The stone itself in interesting in the way it was carved. Each word is followed by a period and capital letters are used randomly.

You can see the questions it brings to mind. If this is the right family, Barnard used the name Lammers the rest of his life. His birthday was October 13, 1847 while the one on that card calculates to 1850. Bernard was a lifetime rock mason, just like the men above.

Again, thanks for your help.

Lammers and Dulm
This might be a long shot, but I thought I would ask.

Several years ago a lady wrote me to say that Anna Maria Lammers Dulm and Heinrich Dulm buried in the Old New Braunfels Cemetery came to this country with her son Bernard under the name Dulm. They were not related to her, but found the information while doing other research.

The contact was then lost in a hard drive failure. Was this, by chance, you?

I have come to believe that this is accurate and Bernard is my 2 great grandfather. I have traced them to Pusselburen in Germany.

If it was you, could you fill me in on how you came across the information?

If you are ever interested in transferring Mr. Dohmen to me, I can write a nice biography. I work at one of the two schools where he was valedictorian, so I know a lot about him.

Can you confirm that the Forckes in New Braunfels are in the Comal Cemetery and not the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery? Another website list them in Sts. Peter and Paul, which surprised me as I didn't think that side of my family was Catholic. August Forcke was my great great grandfather.

I was visiting my aunt and took a picture of her husbands, my Uncle's grave. I created a memorial as well, not realizing one was already created by you. Would you mind either releasing yours to me, a family member, or deleting yours since I have added him?

Thank you,

Charles Bender, Sr.
Good morning Nancy,

Happy to read your reply.
I don't know if you read my "managed memorials"
list. Surely, a few names looked familiar?
Our line is via Albert Peter, his daughter Bertha.
I recalculated our ancestry, Chas. W. Sr. is my
great-great-great-grandfather via Jerry Irby.
Charles W. Sr., was Jerry Irby's great-great grandfather. I spent lots of summer's swinging on grandma Bertha's porch swing in Spring. Their
house was bulldozed when I-45 was widened.
I have a 90 page Charles Bender, Sr. ancestry document that was pdf'd to me last week from a Catholic church lady in Houston. Mrs. Bender donated funds for stained glass window replacements.
I can send it to you. I prefer an email. I abhor full disclosure on a public (undeletable) message board. Is there a Bender reunion scheduled? How often are they
You've done an excellent job as manager.
Guess we will "share" our common ancestor.
I am happy to know some Bender's are out there and active in keeping the proud and impressive
Bender legacy of integrity, industry, honesty,
and "family" alive. C.W. Irby
