Judi,

I'm so sorry I haven't check my messages on this website in so very long. Thank you so so very much for sending me these pictures of my uncles grave. I moved to Texas in 1976 and have never been able to go back to visit his grave. This as brought me back to him. He was my mothers only sibling. I can't even tell you how it has left a hole in my heart loosing my uncle. You have given me something I thought I would never see again. My grandparents have gone to meet with him in heaven and I know my grandmother would be so pleased that you took time to visit him and oh my thank you for leaving flowers and a flag. From me and my family thank you again.

Hi there! I'm glad I was able to provide you the photo. That cemetery is only a mile from my house. I'm related by marriage to the Booher's there. I just recently discovered the Find A Grave phone app and on my way back from grabbing a few items from our local store decided to stop and see what the app had to tell me. I've photographed a lot of the headstones there and hope to fulfill all the ones left remaining.
We're you related to Mrs. Cottrell? If you're ever in the area and would like to meet up, we could. My husband has taught me so much about this old land. I team of horses couldn't drag me away from here :D.
Nice to meet you, have a great day!

RE: Thank you for the photo
Actually the tree is at Thomas and Mary's headstone, just in front of Samuel and Elizabeth's stone. Sorry for the confusion.

You are most welcome, Judi. They are just to the rear of the church on the right facing the church. A tree is beginning to grow over the front of the stones as you could see. Would be nice if someone could cut it down.
Please feel free to use these photos at any time for any of your genealogy type work.

Hi Judi! You are welcome and I'm sorry it's not a better photo! We were there to find my husband's family, and I forgot to see what requests were needed to be filled. I just happened to have a shot of her headstone from a wide angle shot I took. I did take some shots of the headstones near the ones we were looking for. I know a couple are requested, and I will upload them later.

I'm glad that I could help, I also wanted to tell you how much I agree about the way you describe walking through cemeteries. I feel the exact same way.

Just so you know I took these photos and the rest of the cemetery in July 2013. The worst sunburn I've had on the back of my neck in a long time.

Regards,
John

I am working on my home town to clear the only (old) cemetery. It is near the street of Venable. This could have been the place for Victoria. Only guessing that it could be since it is not very far from the hollow and creek where her son is buried. I will be taking on that project this summer if my health holds up. Will let you know if it is there. We will take all photos of headstones at the time of cleaning. Thanks

I'm not related to them. I was just trying to put
Hope/Bond cemeteries on find A Grave. I got the information on them from death, birth and marriage
records. I have a lot of family buried in these cemeteries. Over the years the cemeteries have grown together. If you have any information on them that you want on Find A Grave just let me know.
