Find A Grave Memorial# 86374798

This is a relative on my paternal grandmother's side. Do you know where the final burial place is? The notes on Find A Grave say the cemetery was moved, but not everyone was disinterred.
Thanks for your help

I found an article about the death of this gentleman. Maybe you can add to the memorial. Thank you.

Article appears in the Abilene Daily Reflector, Abilene, Kansas, 14 March 1889 reads...

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, March 14 - As Chief of Police Phillip Paul, of Renova, Pennsylvania, about twelve o'clock last night, was about to unlock the door of the jail, Charles Cleary turned on him with a revolver and shot him in the back of the head near the left ear, the bullet lodging in the base of the brain.

Thanks very much! I promise I'll try to stay with the edit button as much as possible to make your life easier. Thank you for all the entries in North Bend cemetery. We are likely to become well acquainted as I grew up in that area and am going to link together a lot of the folks that I know well or can research to a sure conclusion.
All the Best! - Virginia

RE: Mensch Memorial
Hi! Ohhh...I would have done that but Find A Grave will not allow me to submit all of those at once. I have to submit some, then wait for you to accept those and at some point go back and submit the rest, a very long process PLUS...when I try to submit the relationship Find A Grave also tells me that there is a pending update from some else ahead of me. Sigh. What would you recommend? I'd like to get Emma Mensch's record accurate. I spent all day just researching her and I know it's not your fault that Find A Grave doesn't provide a more streamlined process. Suggestions?

I believe that Mem # 133907168 and 133906980 are the same person. Will you please delete one of these memorials? This Wm. Pusey is my 2nd cousin 6X removed.
Thank you

Thank you for answering my query. I am a direct descendant of their daughter Mary "Polly" Evans who married Robert A. Askey. They had another daughter "Betsy" who married Robert's brother, John Askey. I am presently searching for any data I can find on William or Rachel.

What a wonderful job you did transcribing these very old records and adding information. Is there any chance you could lead me to where you found the data? I may have other missing ancestors in this cemetery. Thank you so much!

Hi! If not related to you, I would like to manage the graves of Wm and Rachel Evans. Their daughter Elizabeth "Polly" married my 4th gr. grandfather, Robert Askey. She was born in Germantown, Pa and died in Clearfield County and is buried in the Keewaydin Cemetery. Thank you.

Hi! I'm wondering is you are a direct descendant of Agnes "Nancy" Burney Grogan Van Gundy. My fourth great grandfather was Henry (Van) Gundy, and believe he may have been her husband.

Photo of P(hilemon ?) S. Catlin
Good morning!

I have my grandmother Effie Rockefeller Burbank's photo album of several Union veterans and some of their family members. One page in the album bears the nameplate "Windsor and Whipple Photo Studio, Olean, N.Y. 1882. Only one photo is captioned with a name, and that name is P. S. Catlin.

In, I've found a Philemon Catlin, who , it seems to me, may be the same as P. S. Catlin. Philemon's father was apparently Lorenzo Catlin; his mother, Sarah Lyon Catlin -- both of whom are buried in the Catlin Hollow Cemetery.

I'll be happy to share the album with you or with anyone who can help restore the identities of the folks photographed.

You may prefer to email me at

Robert H. Gilkesson 48837889
Hi! I was wondering if you would consider deleting the photo of his grave marker as it was taken in Fondulac and I've changed Mr. Gilkesson's place of burial to Springdale Cemetery as per his obituary.

Another contributor was doing some research and found that he is buried in Springdale with his second wife and that Pauline (the other name on the headstone) is listed as his first wife in a census report.

Lillie Kilgus
Hello, a volunteer has added a photo for this person at the North Bend Cemetery in Clinton Co, memorial 131439948. The name on the stone appears to be Tillie. I didn't know about this child and wonder if you have a source for the name being Lillie or if Tillie is actually correct?

RE: North Bend Aikeley's

Thank you for the offer and I accept. They are related to me by marriage. It appears that there is only one family and all that you have listed are related. I will have to search for information to contribute because all members in my parent's generation are deceased.--Storres

Hi, I left a message earlier today, and have a follow-up question for you please. How could I get to his grave? I'd like to see if other family members are buried there.

Would you know if the local newspapers available on line?

Thank you,
