RE: Reba and Earl Bishop
Hello Gary,

Glad I could help. I was looking for markers of memorials I created and took a list of the photo requests.

I am not related to the Bishops. I like to research and include information on the bio to have a thorough memorial to help other genealogy researchers.

Earl's parents are buried near Earl and Reba. Their obituaries are included on the memorials.

I did not find an obituary for Reba Bishop. The Springfield newspaper did not always publish obituaries for people from Carlinville.

Good luck with your research!
Darrin

"Parriott Family Cemetery"
Gary, regarding the Wetzel County burial site of two Parriotts: I have received information that the farm cemetery has an historic name. It is known locally as the Hoskins Cemetery. Here is a link to a reading: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~wvwetzel/proctor/HoskinsCemetery.htm

Good luck with the Hendersons...My great-grandmother was a Henderson from Scotland. Have you ever tried to look up Hendersons in Scotland?! There are about 10 male and 10 female names, over and over, no matter what surname, but especially with the same surname. Horrible! I figured it out, though. BD

"Parriott Family Cemetery"
Gary, I have populated the Old Burial Ground in Wetzel County, WV, with photos and GPS coordinates. Joe & I drove out there on Saturday, Feb 20, and I hiked down to the pioneer burial site to fix a GPS coordinate. I question naming the site the Parriott Family Cemetery because of no evidence other than Joe's recollection. The only identifiable marker is that of Captain Lewis Smith, a Civil War veteran who died in 1864. The private property is part of the Wilson Farm.

Jane (Clark) Parriott
Joseph Downey Parriott and I visited Greenlawn Cemetery in Moundsville, WV, and took snapshots of Jane's damaged headstone. Joseph has been the lodestone of Parriott Family Research for decades and his hard work has benefited the recovery and discovery of this families wealth of history. Here is a link to his biography: http://www.lindapages.com/vip/jparriott.htm

RE: Elizabeth L. Parrott Leffler
Gary,

I repaired Susanna Parrot's gravestone this fall and returned it to Aspen Grove for installation. I suspect they'll get it back in the ground in the spring. It's in their maintenance building right now.

Miletus Oscar Baldwin
Humboldt has a newspaper. Have you tried to track down an obit in Humboldt or Ft. Dodge?

If you can find an obit for either Miletus or Anna that lists a cemetery, you can contact a local funeral home to ask if the cemetery is still active and how to contact the sexton or cemetery board who should hold burial records for the cemetery.

I beleive the person who created most of the memorials at mt olivet got the info from the records in the office so he probably knows nothing about the people he creates. Just a note to you,

Thanks,
