Thank you for taking the time to take this photo for me. I really do appreciate it and it so helps me with my research.

The headstone for Claude DeGrass shows Norma DeGrass Wiggin as his spouse. She was his sister, not his wife. They are children of Arthur B DeGrass and Eva Sophia Jacques.

Eliza Jane Miller 97741070
I have created a duplicate memorial of the above. I dont know why I did that...I thought I had checked.

The one that I have created is Eliza Jane "Lizzie" Westall Miller Find A Grave Memorial# 142218886.

I linked family, added death cert, & a bio.

Would you care to look at mine & import anything that you wish before I delete my duplicate?

Should I do an edit on yours to add her parents or can you do that?

Eliza was my 1st cousin 4x. I have done a lot on the Westalls

I will await your answer before I delete the duplicate record.

Thanks,
Rich King (#48494887)

RE: Harrison Melvin DeWitt
Your welcome. I made this photo from an original I got from my great aunt Viola (Henderson) Davenport before she died. She was the daughter of Celia (DeWitt) Henderson and sister to my grandmother Edna (Henderson) Hathaway. I will add another of him and Silas taken sometime before their wartime service. The one I just added with his mule team I made from the original postcard sent home. It was in my grandmothers collection growing up.

I think you need to relax a bit. Find-a-grave has an inefficient system for adding large numbers of records that incomplete. I'll admit I tried to circumvent this, and thought that this would be a reasonably harmless manner of doing so. Apparently I was wrong. I also didn't anticipate the glitch-issues that I have experienced while making the corrections, so it's has been slower going than I had hoped. In hindsight I would have done this incrementally with smaller files. But it's too late now.

Also, I certainly don't claim ownership to this 8500 memorials, and am more than willing to update, transfer, or delete on an individual basis. My primary interest is that everyone who served in the CEF gets the recognition that they deserve through their own memorial. Since my experience has shown few people are willing to take the time, I took it upon myself to try an speed up the process. Honestly, I have many other projects to work on. So if people like you are more intent on being hostile rather than supportive, I'll gladly leave things as they are. Your threat of reporting me doesn't concern me - in fact, it might end up being a blessing.

LaPage - DeLong - Prosser in Carleton County

Hello Lorna,

I received a message on one of my ancestry.com family "trees" with more information about the LaPage family. They tie-in with my aunt's Sanborn family in Buckfield, Maine. I am still working on some of the family links to those buried down in massachusetts... but then I think it goes back to Canada again prior to that.

Finding where these folks are buired and who they are buried with on findagrave can dispel a lot of "myths" that are otherwise taken for granted. The "shaky leaf" hints on ancestry.com can be very helpful, but can also lead you astray if you are not careful ;)

Sincerely, Tim Cooper

Alfred William LaPage in Waterville Community Cemetery

Hello Lorna,

Thank you for the transfer of the memorial for Alfred William LaPage. I can go either way on whether or not to transfer him back to you. The main thing is to maintain the integrity of the "Teamwork Transfer". Also, you have better access to finding his full date of death and perhaps an obituary.
His wife, Verna Maud (Prosser) LaPage died in 1966 and his daughter, Kathleen May (Lapage) McLean died in 2011. MAybe she is buried there in Waterville as well. I live next to Waterville, Maine... but I don't have easy access to Carleton County, New Brunswick records... although I did quite a bit of research on the Farley family up around Tracey Mills and Centerville.
I am still searching for his brother, Henry John LaPage (AKA: Clarence) who lived near Juniper, NB ?
Sincerely, Tim Cooper

Thank you so much Lorna for the photos. With the age and condition of some of the stones, it is wonderful to preserve them by photograph! I'll make sure I share this with other family members. Once again thank you.
Sincerely,
