I have typed out obit and also added Illinois Death certificate. It will depend on how long it takes for the person who has the site to copy and paste it. I see you did the same thing on the whole family. ?? too bad because I dont have the time to correct.

you have put an obit in the picture section which is not correct. They should be typed out in the section obit section where it give you options to add to the memorial. I have the copy of the obit and will be glad to type it out and give you credit if you take down the one in the picture section.

Thank Janet

Adding "Photos" to memorials
Please be careful - and choose the correct TYPE of photo you are adding...many of the photos you've added show a Mona Lisa Icon on the memorial, indicating that a PORTRAIT of the person is on the attached, when in most cases it is a NEWSPAPER article that has been added. Posting published material should always include crediting the Source, giving Name and Date of the newspaper that published it. Find-A-Grave is a marvelous website - please follow the guidelines found under Help with Find A Grave to keep it wonderful...

You are indeed correct....Willie is the son of George Jr. IO had it correct in my database but I did not fully check the memorial when it was transferred to me. All I noticed was the father was George Camp. Thanks again for the correction.

RE: Canedy
My wifes family. Her 2nd great grandmother was Polly Mary Canedy buried in Southview cemetery in North Adams, Massachusetts.

Polly's father was Milo Canedy 1821-1908, buried in Heartwellville cemetery in Heartwellville, Vermont.

Does this sound like the same family

I have access to FR VR's, but I wasn't able to establish the connections. I'll have another look. The surname Canedy is certainly apparent in the FR area

Lamb Family
I am not convinced are the parents of these folks. The memorials for Isaac and Mary Lamb in NY are unresearched and unlinked by the creator of those memorials, so I cannot be sure these are the correct parents. If more information becomes available regarding this Isaac and Mary, or if there are sources which will provide the definitive connection, I can move forward.

One More Thing
I located a Marion M Stevens in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and the record shows she used to live in West Springfield, Mass.

Here is the page with her contact info:

Canedy Family
Hi Charles, I am an antique dealer and find all kinds of wonderful things while acquiring my treasures. I purchased a beautiful wooden box from an auction and inside was a note that reads

"This tin box belonged to Unice Canedy of Heartwellville Vt. She was my great grandmother. It always sat on a highboy upstairs in her home.

This wooden box belonged to the same person. It was made by her step son when he served time in Bennington prison for the murder of a married neighbor, when he became jealous of the neighbor and his sweetheart. The sweetheart waited and married him the day he was free. They left town and were never head from again.

The wood for the boxes he made was brought to him by friends. The prison in those days didn't give prisoners anything.

Unice had two girls one Climena born 1849 and my aunt Sophronie called Min and Fron what names."

Then there is a name in pencil "Marion Stevens, West Springfield, Mass."

I am posting this as a public note in case anyone in the family would be interested in this tidbit of family folklore. I am not sure how much of the information is correct in the note, so I always try to research when I find things like this -- that's how I came to connect with you.
